Here is the last on-topic post. Please note it is ED that offers the occasional token on-topic post. Nobody agreed with nor debated with my statement. I win the Debate! :godisgood:

Trailer: // We would have nothing less than the pure, undefiled, unadulterated and perfect word of God.//
We have been provided just that via the God blessed textual criticisms of W/H for the source Greek and fine MVs like NIV = New International Version (for the 20th Century /1901-2000/ ) and the TNIV = Today's NIV (for the 21st Century /2001-2100/).

I will PM you shortly. -

[Edited to add:] Nor did he make any such "self-congratulations", either!

And to attribute that W/H effected versions are exactly the word of God does also make them guilty as charged. Along with Ed here.
Or are you saying the NASV and the NKJV are not effected by W/H's textual criticisms? -

Trailer, with tires. -
I also note that you, Salamander, need for me (Ed) to say when I (Ed) say "you" what I mean. 'You' can be both plural and singular. It would be most profitable if I, Ed, could remember the usage rules of 'thou' and 'thee' -- but nobody (this includes everybody, not just Salamander) here who knows those rules seem inclined to help me learn them (the rules). Some people like the KJVs because they use 'thee '& 'thou' instead of 'you SINGULAR' and 'you PLURAL' -- it (the use of 'thou' & 'thee' does make things more accurate and precise (then using 'you SINGULAR' and 'you Plural'.
In general, if I, Ed, say 'you' I mean 'you all' or 'y'all', thtt is plural. This included post #68 above. The 'you' in the same sentence of 'demon' does NOT mean 'you, Salamander' but 'you, demon'. My statement is what I remembered of Carmen's CCM song:
Carmen:
"I represent a whole new breed of Christian of today.
And I’m authorized and deputized to blow you clean away."
The stuff about the 'canon cannon' was stuff I added, cause I thought I was being funny. It only seemed that 'you demon' would explain the 'aluthorized and deputized'. I mean, good grief, to be humorous about my four Bible TODAY's PARALLEL BIBLE - three of the Bibles are translated from W&H's Greek Bible line (several versions past W&H's Greek version).
I do believe in demon molestation of Christian persons (with the Holy Spirit present, the deomn cannot take control like in un-Christian persons. I aso believe that I have the Spiritual Gift of Discernment. From time to time the Holy Spirit gives me supra-natural insite into the motives of people TO HELP THE PEOPLE. There are three sources of influence: God, Satan, and just human nature. I have received the following information about you, Salamander -- your (Salamander's) main influence for his writings & postings is God induced. He Salamander, does sometimes act in human nature modes. But so does most everybody (you know, all in tahe set I specify next) else that posts here including me, Ed. I really do pray for most the posters in this Versions Forum of BB (baptist board) every day. I still say that if you (everybody) pray a prayer like this for a specific individual for 30 days straight, you (everybody, even me) will NOT be able to bad mouth them.
Father God - Please give your best Blessings this very day to Salamander, his (Salamander) family, and his (Salamander) ministry. I, Ed, plead in the Blessed Name of Jesus, the Messiah. Thank you Father God, in n the Blessed Name of Jesus, the Messiah. AMEN!

Some Quite Incredible Claims Here
Personally, I highly doubt that God used a never recanting RCC priest like Erasmus - who held to transubstantiation and the necessity of the Mass - to 'restore' the Protestant Bible. And you have to call it 'restore' since not a single Bible on the planet read exactly the same way as the TR did in 1516. And I would note that the 1516 TR differs from the 1522 edition quite severely - the latter includes the Comma Johanneum.
I'll go you one better: I've actually read Waite's 'Heresies of Westcott and Hort.' I've also cross-checked EVERY SINGLE citation. Waite charges them with 125 instances of heresy.
They were guilty of one at most, baptismal regeneration. They were NOT Arians (as Strouse shamelessly continues to say), they were NOT Unitarians, etc.
They were simple scholars used to proliferate the Word of God. I would think that for all their protestation of loving God's Word that KJV Onlyists would be happy about this.
Apparently, I'm mistaken.
Or are they... -
They offered a rendering of the Greek through their textual criticisms, for that they should receive commendation, except they also corrupted the Greek in that process to cause convolutions to the word of God.
The Bible reads that eagles devour dead carcasses, and they do, yet the demand by use of W/H textual criticism interjects "buzzards" instead.
Much objection to Matthew 24:28's usage of "eagles" has been around for years, but a close look into the time and locale definitely indicates "eagles" and nowhere are buzzards even suggested. -
"Where the carcass is, there the buzzards will gather."
Sal, can ya prove that statement wrong? -
Three harbingers of spring:
Within about two weeks, "The swallows return to Capistrano." (Mar. 19);
"The buzzards return to Hinckley!" (Mar. 15);
and on Mar. 16, the Louisville Cardinals return to the NCAA Basketball Tournament! :D
Go Cards!! :thumbs:
BTW, It was apparently the left-over frozen carcasses from a large game hunt in Hinkley, OH, on Christmas Eve, 1818, that first drew the buzzards in large numbers to Hinckley, OH, where the carcasses were decaying in the spring thaw of 1819, so I guess your statement is substantiated, regardless of which (or even if there is a) translation it is from.
Ed -
To interject "buzzards" goes against the prophetic sense.
It will be eagles waiting to devour those overcome during the Tribulation.
"Aetoi” , define it, please?:laugh: -
My Eagle & Buzzard friends would like a recipe for cooking all the hares that you all have SPLIT. Thank you.
The Native Americans who live where I now live in South Central Oklahoma was the Kiowa. I had a boss once who was at least half Kiowa. With the Kiowa the Bear was strong medicine. I wonder if some tribes of American Indians thought that the Eagle and/or Buzzard was strong medicine?
