The post was supposed to say that we lost two family members and several neighbors.

Thanks for demonstrating precisely why I never share anything personal here.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Time has given you perspective, but those scars remain. One day Jesus will fully redeem even this.

I expected better from you. Sad to say, you keep lowering the bar for simple human decency around here.

I came back to see why the violent reaction to my post. Now I understand. I did not read this post carefully, and did not realize you had lost family. I wouldn't have posted it had I read it more carefully.

Same with the post directly above. If the edit option were available, I would delete the one above, too.

    Sincere apologies.

Maybe News and Current Events wasn't the best choice of forum to post something so intensely personal, eh?

How heartbreaking!! I live in a place with no tornadoes. The biggest natural disasters we get are usually low grade hurricanes, nor'easters and blizzards and that is plenty!! I can't imagine having your life torn away from you in the blink of an eye. A friend of mine has a disaster relief organization and he goes into places where there have been tornadoes and the stories he tells are so sad!
