More body blows to Trump and his administration
The White House was knocked on the defensive Monday ahead of its biggest week yet on Capitol Hill as F.B.I. Director James Comey confirmed the existence of an active investigation into Russia’s meddling in the presidential election, including whether there was any coordination with now-President Donald Trump’s team.
In another blow to Trump, Comey and National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers also publicly refuted his unsubstantiated claims on Twitter that President Barack Obama had ordered a wiretap of Trump Tower phones. The leaders of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees had said last week that Trump’s allegations were untrue.
“I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI,” Comey said.
The White House scrambled to contain the fallout, deploying two simultaneous war rooms, according to two people familiar with the arrangement, one in the Executive Office Building to monitor the Comey hearing and another satellite war room in the Senate offices to keep tabs on Gorsuch.
But any hopes in the West Wing for a split-screen day were dashed with the revelation of an active probe into campaign associates of the president. At the White House, televisions in the press offices played the Comey hearing as it ran live on all the cable networks.
“I have been authorized by the Department of Justice to confirm that the FBI, as part of our counter-intelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election,” Comey said, “And that includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government.”
Comey said the probe will “include an assessment of whether any crimes were committed.”

This election will go down as having the two most corrupt nominees in history.

Already some are saying that Trump and his administration are the most corrupt in our history. That is really saying a lot considering how corrupt some presidents have been. I really do not think anyone should be surprised at this considering his unethical history as a businessman. -

And the FBI has admitted that one of the servers in Trump Towers was, in fact, investigated including examining the content of the hard drive and record of IP addresses contacted by that server.
The result? Nothing. Nada. Zip.
As to the claim that it was President Obama who tapped the server. Nobody in his right mind (which eliminates all Democrats) thinks it was Obama himself who did the investigation, but the FBI admits it was their investigation. And who does the Director of the FBI work for? Oh, yes, the Justice Department. And who does the head of the Justice Department work for? Oh yes. The President! And who was President when this investigation was ordered? Oh, yes. President Obama. -

In my opinion a draft dodger is not qualified to hold Office of President ..
What man having an ounce of respect would even think to have our Troops forced to salute him a draft dodger? -
-
If he did indeed have a physical disability at the time then there is no issue because he did not "dodge" the draft but was disqualified.

From: https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/02/us/politics/donald-trump-draft-record.html?_r=0
Back in 1968, at the age of 22, Donald J. Trump seemed the picture of health.
He stood 6 feet 2 inches with an athletic build; had played football, tennis and squash; and was taking up golf. His medical history was unblemished, aside from a routine appendectomy when he was 10.
But after he graduated from college in the spring of 1968, making him eligible to be drafted and sent to Vietnam, he received a diagnosis that would change his path: bone spurs in his heels.
The diagnosis resulted in a coveted 1-Y medical deferment that fall, exempting him from military service as the United States was undertaking huge troop deployments to Southeast Asia, inducting about 300,000 men into the military that year.
The deferment was one of five Mr. Trump received during Vietnam. The others were for education. -

From: Bill Clinton - Wikipedia
Clinton registered for the draft and received a high number (311), meaning that those whose birthdays had been drawn as numbers 1 to 310 would have to be drafted before him, making it unlikely that he would be drafted. (In fact, the highest number drafted was 195.)[23] -

Participation in sports can actually cause bone spurs in different parts of the body including the heels:

There is NO evidence linking the Russians to the Trump campaign.
This latest attack of browbeating FBI Director Comey and NSA
Director Rodger's is just another attempt by Democrat's to sustain
their delusional paranoia at everything Trump. They want to discredit
him first, and hopefully shame him into resigning or get impeached.
The Democrst's simply want their power back...plain and simple. That's
why they're going through all this trouble.
What's more: if the Russian's did influence the 2016 presidential election,
then that would mean they had to have hacked and influenced all state,
county and municipal elections as well, where hundreds of Republican's
won those offices, from Republican Governors down to municipal and
county electoral victories for Republican candidates and incumbents
(mayor's, police chiefs, county sheriff, commissioners, council members,
yes, I'm sure that includes a few dog catchers along the way, so forth).
What I'd like to know is why would Comey begin an investigation of
Mr. Trump when he wasn't even the nominee yet, according to Dems?
Besides, the current investigation is just that: an investigation!
And what does it mean to investigate someone? It means innocent
until proven otherwise by the facts, and not hyperbole.
Second, how and when did the classified files on General Flynn become
public knowledge? At last count, only eight people had top secret access
to Flynn's files. Who accessed those files? Who signed for them as required
by federal law and NSA regulations? Why aren't those people subjected
to polygraphs? How did the New York Times get possession of Flynn's files?
Why aren't they being questioned and investigated?
And how did General Flynn's files suddenly morph into the Trump-Russian saga? -
Whoever did these things will go down in history as traitors revealing our secrets.
In my opinion of course.
Not my opinion:
Had I done this when I was in the military (Information and intelligence) handling classified documents,
I might still not be able to see daylight (well maybe).

You saith: "There is evidence linking Russians to people that worked for the Trump campaign, i.e. Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn."
My reply: I need more facts. No comment right now.
You saith: "No, it wouldn't "have to mean they hacked all state, county, and municipal elections". Sheesh.
My reply: Rush Limbaugh brought it up and I happen to agree.
You saith: "I have no idea what this means or why you think it."
My reply: Liberal Dem's allege the FBI began it's investigation of candidate Trump
as early as 03 July 2016, into the "connection" between Trump and Putin. Mr. trump
wasn't even the official nominee until 19 July 2016. Sheesh!
You saith: "The Empire would like to remind the Alderaan survivors that the real crime was the leaking of the Death Star plans.
My reply: Being facetious, are we?
