Lately I have been feeling depressed for some strange reason. I usually do not fill this way. I think because I have gone through allot and am working 60-70 hours a week. I could scale back to 40 but it would be hard to save money. Any ideas to help me? Also I have not been in the word or in good books as much due to my workload.

Less time on the board more time being encouraged by the word and good fellowship.

Right now the bible says you are worse than an unbeliever. 1Timothy 5:8 "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." -
You ask, then discount it when you receive it. Again and again. -
Most of us, I believe, have experienced difficult times. They are moments in life and not life itself. Sometimes God brings us to a point of depression, of sorrow, of loneliness or despair. He is our Father and will discipline and refine us.
You have been through a lot, and in truth you probably should feel depressed as your family has ended in the worst way. And you are still working two jobs (I take it you are still working two jobs), so the financial struggles have not ended. You have had a rough year.
And it is in our nature, I believe, to continually push forward. But God says to be still. Be still and know that He is God. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Be a sheep. Slow down and rely on God. Understand that God works through His people. Allow your church to function as the local expression of the Body of Christ. Many of the things you bring here could and should be resolved through the church to which you have joined yourself. Go to your church, to your pastor, and tell, confess, pray, listen, submit, and learn. From what I understand from your comments, you have joined a good church. My suggestion is to be discipled. -

Psalm 32
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up[b] as by the heat of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah -

Revmitchell gave you the best advice. Unfortunately, you did not understand what he meant.
He suggested for you [1] to get off the internet for a while and [2] get back into God's Word and to fellowship with live and in person believers.
You only spoke in return of the first part. You took that to mean to step away from the people you think are criticizing you. But I wish you could understand that's not why he suggested for you to step away for awhile.
As I told you in another thread, I have been depressed and anxious for a good while now. I KNOW HOW HARD it is to stay in the Word and prayer. It's a internal fight.
But you must fight. This has nothing to do with the people you believe are harsh to you and there are some who are.
It's about you taking an internet fast and fighting to stay in God's Word and prayer and active fellowship in your church. I heartily second the advice from Revmitchell. -

It just grieves me that you don't understand that JonC, Revmitchell, and I are telling you the same exact thing. -

Over the years of my children growing up I have used different tones when I spoke to them. The tones reflected a necessary emphasis to get the attention of my children in an appropriate way. I was reminded of that when it was posted that my counsel was viewed as good but "fell on deaf ears" because of other posts where he didn't like my tone. My children never liked my firm tone either. It left them no room for their shenanigans and they new it was time not to argue back.
What I would further say is this is a board of fellowship for adults. You will be dealt with as an adult. Threads created to justify poor behavior will be dealt with as adults. Running around this board telling everyone else that they are not sharing the gospel correctly if they are not street preaching and using the law will be dealt with as adults.
Now if you cannot handle that then maybe this is not the adult board you need to be at. I am quite sure there is a board for disgruntled teens out their somewhere.
