Firearms Arsenal

I plan on amassing a firearms arsenal that will eventually contain 1,000 firearms, which is a reasonable number of firearms to own for a firearms arsenal.

An arsenal is an array of resources available for a certain purpose. What is the purpose of your arsenal?
I have not started the arsenal yet as I have not started to purchase firearms. The purpose of the firearms arsenal that I will have will be to have a collection of firearms.

Yurch is playing you guys.

Every clown needs a circus.
No I am not playing you guys. I really am planning on having a firearms arsenal that will eventually wind up containing 1,000 firearms, which is a reasonable number of firearms to own.

And how are you going to pay for this "arsenal?" If the average medium-low quality firearm costs around $500 you are talking about a half million dollars. Where is that going to come from?

I own several firearms, but not an arsenal.

I have quite a few, but 1000 is a bit ridiculous. For collection purposes much smaller, high value will in the long run be more profitable. I have about 130 and its about 100 too many. I do not want to put them in cosmolibe, so just maintaining them is very time consuming.

One might soon be able to afford to buy 1000 Springfield Armory products. ;)

They really took it on the chin today, didn't they! And their own fault! Trying to use gun control laws to increase their sales and bankrupt their competition is pretty low.

And it is too bad. I have a Springer .45 Mil Spec. It's a great pistol. And the XD is a good pistol too.

But I have bought a couple Rock Island Armory (Armscor) (not to be confused with the other offender, Rock River Arms) that are every bit as good as the Springer, and for less money. I am presently looking for an M200 in .38 Special. Great gun and only $231 on sale.

I forgot that I actually do have an arsenal.

Actually, it's an Arsenal SLR-107F, a Bulgarian import, semi-auto AKM. Arsenal produces just about the best AK type rifles that Americans can get their hands on, in my opinion.

The pic is about 3.5 years old, taken and posted to Facebook on the day that Mikhail Kalashnikov died, 23 Dec 2013.

AKM = stamped. ;)

The US bought a bunch of milled Bulgarian rifles for the Iraqis way back. The ones I've handled were most halal, in the local vernacular. :Biggrin
