While the Washington Post has been diligently digging into relatively innocent high school pranks by Mitt Romney, they’ve spent the last few years diligently ignoring President Obama’s far more controversial high school days.
Hey, I'm no fan of Obama, but I'd rather have my kid experiment with drugs in high school than lead a gang of kids to hold down another student while cutting the other students hair off.
So would it be OK with you if I got 5 of my friends to come hold your kid down, taunt him, and cut his hair? All the while your kid is crying and asking for us to stop? Or would you rather I just went off smoked some pot and left your kid alone?
Does Obama get checked for drug use at present? At times he has a goofy laid-back grin on his face! Anyhow, after the election he will be more flexible.:BangHead::tonofbricks:
Of course not. I'm with you I don't want either to happen. I was just following your logic and reasoning to the point of the unintended consequence.
I'd rather have my kid get a bully haircut and suffer some humiliation than experiment with drugs which could and often does result in a lethal consequence.
Besides, this "blame game" is mostly a smoke screen to keep us from the real issue - the shipwreck of our self-enterprise economy on the rocks of deficit spending and redistrubution of wealth. A transformation from a republic of "we the people" to a social state of "we the sheeple (a modern serfdom)".
Actually Matt, IMO its going to happen (and is happening as we speak) no matter who gets into office, if the progressives retain power it will just happen faster.
That's not the comparison. Personally, I'd rather have my kid experiment with drugs than be a bully that would hold someone down and cut their hair. A kid experimenting with drugs is just a kid being stupid. A bully that holds people down, and cuts their hair, cuts (pun intended) to the core of their character (or lack thereof).
It looks like a non-issue any matt.
The story seems now not to hold much water as even the "victim"'s family is denying the accuracy of the account plus other things which don't seem to add up.
DeJaVu Dan Rather/Geo Bush military service scandal.
The supposed victim's sister knows nothing about it. Romney knows nothing about it. The one witness in the report now says he was not even there. This is yellow journalism at best.
Personally, I would rather see my son hold someone his own age down and give him a noogie, or a wedgie, or put itching powder in his jock strap, or something else like that than even think about him mugging some old lady to support a drug habit his parents winked at.
I will say this; you are not doing your children, if you have any. any favor with that attitude.
A belt liberally applied may stop bullying but not drug abuse.
