I don't think he is being smarter than ever one else, just smarter than liberal who thumb their nose at God when they condone or vote for anyone who murders innocent babies in their mother's womb.
There is no such thing as a conservative that condones abortion/murder.
P.S.
I think the Bible says "thou shall not murder."
Not thou shall not kill.
So, anyone care to elaborate on the op's statement that the Bible sets a high pattern for women?
I believe the Bible has just as much, if not MORE to say to men, and I find it ironic when men want to try to instruct the women when they need to be mentoring other men--then let those men instruct their own wives and daughters.
Wise and Godly men, who have decades of successful family relationships and have a history of faithfulness to Christ, know that the responsibility of the home rests completely upon their shoulders.
More real men should tend to their own home fires, perhaps then the fires of home wouldn't be so easily extinguished.
So you wouldn't mind someone preaching who was involved in misappropriation of church funds, had a harem of 19 married women in the church, and took the fifth amendment to avoid child abuse and murder charges?
Your view would fit very well in a church run by Dave Hyles.
If you don't know who he is, google him.
Truth is not the end all that justifies the carrier in people's eyes!
I would not seek them out but if they spoke the truth I would not reject what was said like you are doing. Also in this case the teacher is not only none of those you mentioned but he is biblically qualifies and required to teach such which you also stood against. I only know of one who stands against truth and biblical teachers.
