I was pretty sure that you did but it is not a problem.I am not looking to jump on your words or look to "get you":thumbs:
Sounds good.I thought of something that I have found helpful.Instead of looking for one magic bullet, or one verse that answers it all....take a few minutes to consider several of Paul's opening greetngs...look at the language used by Him and the other Apostles.
1 Corinthians 1
King James Version (KJV)
1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:
3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
You see this often- Grace and peace to you- This is obviously only unto the saints...look how they are described;
to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints,
them that are sanctified
called to be saints...
Colossians 1
King James Version (KJV)
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Who hath saved us,
and called us with an holy calling,
not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
The greetings are focused and freely discuss election before time.

As someone said, the arguments of Calvinists are usually wrong. Case in point, individual election before time. If we had been chosen individually before the foundation of the world, then our names would have been written in the Lamb's book of life before the foundation of the world.
1) We are chosen through faith in the truth, 2 Thessalonians 2:13. We could not have faith before we were created. Therefore we were chosen, during our lifetime, after we believed.
2)Who are those God sets apart in Christ Jesus. The "called." saints. When were we called through the gospel of Christ? Before creation, or during our lifetime, after we heard and learned from the Father? When did we receive our Holy Calling to be ambassadors of Christ? After we believed.
3) When Jesus was chosen to be our Redeemer, before the foundation of the world, those the Redeemer would redeem were chosen corporately, He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world. Thus God's purpose of redeeming is granted to anyone redeemed, when they are redeemed and placed in Christ. And the basis of that redemption is the grace of God. Thus the grace of God is granted to anyone redeemed, when they are redeemed. But when was this purpose and grace granted? When Christ was chosen to be the Redeemer, the Lamb of God. Thus God "saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity." So God's redemption plan, established before the foundation of the world, granted before the foundation of the world, His purpose and grace to "us in Christ Jesus" from all eternity.
Since no one was in Christ before Christ died, it is when we are placed in Christ that we receive the grace granted us from all eternity according to God's purpose and redemption plan. -
When did God prepare a kingdom for you? Before the foundation of the world or after the foundation of the world? What does Matthew 25:34 say?

Right, the kingdom was prepared from or after or since the foundation of the world and not before!

hey, van, who ever was the Calvinist on this board, or elsewhere, who said "before" the foundation of the world ?

Here's the "Calvinist' culprit who said "before the foundation of the world", Van,
his name was Paul, inspired by another "Calvinist" called The Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:4 -4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
so what are you gonna do, Van ?
refer to your NASB, or maybe strike this word off, say it was wrong, AND THEN TURN AROUND AND SAY CALVINISTS ARE EDITING IN OR OUT WORDS so they can propagate false teaching ?
you're a classic. -
Ephesians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Romans 8
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Brother, we who are saved, are saved because He chose us way before we ever came upon the scene. It was through His election, when He brought it to it's fruition, that He accomplished our salvation for us. Not because we chose Him, or exercised our faith, but rather, because He chose us and gave us the faith to believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them which diligently seek Him. Christ didn't die a cruel death to make salvation possibilty for every man, but to procure salvation, to bring into His sheepfold, those wandering sheep that God had given to Him to redeem from amongst the accursed. -
....Primitives can be so rude.... :)

Isaiah 49
14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
Zion is a city that is an allegory of the heavenly Zion. Those whom God foreordained to give to the Lamb to atone for their sins, to redeem from the accursed, those who God poured out His wrath upon His Son to appease His wrath, make up that heavenly Zion. They/we are engravened upon the palms of His hands, because we were His all the time. -

and from more modern versions I found these, about the same book, chapter and verse:
Good News Translation: 4 Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love
English Standard Version : 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love
Holman Christian Standard: 4 for He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love 5
American Standard Version - 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love
God's Word Translation : 4 Before the creation of the world, he chose us through Christ to be holy and perfect in his presence.
New American Standard (well, well, well, this translation's name sounds familiar to you ?) : 4 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
New Century version: 4 That is, in Christ, he chose us before the world was made so that we would be his holy people -- people without blame before him.
New International Reader's Version : 4 God chose us to belong to Christ before the world was created. He chose us to be holy and without blame in his eyes. He loved us.
The DARBY translation: 4 God chose us to belong to Christ before the world was created. He chose us to be holy and without blame in his eyes. He loved us.
Young's Literal Translation: 4 according as He did choose us in him before the foundation of the world, for our being holy and unblemished before Him, in love,
sorry, guv.
two or three witnesses against your accusations versus Calvinists manipulating the verses of the Bible to suit their doctrines would've been enough. you've got more than that here.
tell you what, though.
you'd make a good criminal lawyer, if the other side is totally "duh" and don't know how to make their research. -
