Sounds like the man trapped by a rising flood on the roof of his house. A boat came by, but he said "No thanks, I'll trust in God's Providence."
The flood rose and drowned him. In heaven, he asked God why he had drowned even though he trusted in Him.
"I sent a boat over. All you had to do was get into it." God replied.
You have it exactly backwards. God expects us to be good stewards of the world, and if we are not, there are consequences.
(PS104 doing a little projection of his emotional state)
I can understand why you're agitated. Getting upset won't help you, nor will putting your head in the sand.
The Bible says he made man the master of Earth, and all things in it. If we mess it up, we can't blame him.
You have no offspring? "Apres moi, le deluge," um?
It says it will come in God's own time. We have no business trying to bring it on early. Besides, we can't. All we can do is ruin large parts of the Earth. It won't hasten the apocalypse for you.
They lied to you about that. Even worse, the latest evidence shows that the models actually underestimated melt off of continental ice caps, by a large margin. We still don't know how much faster that's going to drive changes.
It's important that you not react emotionally to this, but first accept the evidence, and only then dwell on how you feel about it.

Where I live we only have two seasons, Frost bite and Bug bite! It won't be warm here until July.......bring it on!

The average weather is getting warmer.
Three of the five hottest years ever here in exciting central
Oklahoma are also three of the past five years.
(The 4th hottest year here ever was 1998, the hottest year on record
in the world.)
Did any of you reality avoiders notice the words put out that said
basicly if we level out our Carbon Dixide at the 2006 figure it would
take over 100 years to see the turnaround in the average yearly
temperature?
Gensis 1:28 (KJV1611 Edition):
And God blessed them, and God said vnto them, Be fruitfull,
and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it,
and haue dominion ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer
the foule of the aire, and ouer euery liuing thing that
mooueth vpon the earth.
Notice it does not say "overpopulate the earth, and ruin it". -

So does he give a number, Ed ?
I got too much respect for you to give more snarky comments. But you are misrerpresenting me. I have posted in several places that it is imperative that Christians practice good stewardship of our temporary home. -
76" of snow in colorado this year. it even snowed in LA. Good thing it is getting warmer.

We first have to know what the reality is, and only then decide what, if anything to do about it. Don't confuse the two. -

The real deal?
Against the grain: Some scientists deny global warming exists

Astrophysicist Nir Shariv, one of Israel's top young scientists, describes the logic that led him -- and most everyone else -- to conclude that SUVs, coal plants and other things man-made cause global warming.
Step One Scientists for decades have postulated that increases in carbon dioxide and other gases could lead to a greenhouse effect.
Step Two As if on cue, the temperature rose over the course of the 20th century while greenhouse gases proliferated due to human activities.
Step Three No other mechanism explains the warming. Without another candidate, greenhouses gases necessarily became the cause.
Dr. Shariv, a prolific researcher who has made a name for himself assessing the movements of two-billion-year-old meteorites, no longer accepts this logic, or subscribes to these views. He has recanted: "Like many others, I was personally sure that CO2 is the bad culprit in the story of global warming. But after carefully digging into the evidence, I realized that things are far more complicated than the story sold to us by many climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media.
"In fact, there is much more than meets the eye."

The warmer it is in the winter in Colorado, the more likely
snow is (well, until the daily low is up to 40ºF). -

Your young scientist published at a rather unfortunate time. The most recent data says that it's worse than previously thought.

I've heard enough scientists from the Christian side of life discuss this theory and I don't buy into the global warming theory, but if things are warming up I don't believe man is responsible. Those I have heard who believe in global warming point to the Suns activity.
I have wondered why so many on the liberal side of life are working so hard to prove that global warming is happening, and wondered even more why they are so hades-bent on making man the culprit responsible for it and especially man in the Unites States. Surely they must have a reason for what I believe is some very elaborate fabrications. Does anyone know what those reasons may be? -

Reminds me of 40 years ago,
"If the communists are fer it, i'm again' it;
if the communists are again' it, I'm fer it"
But the communists are against
STDs (sexually transmitted diseases,
but back then they were called VD = verneral
disease) -- one needs to be careful what they say.
KenH: //The "humans are causing global warming" idea
is being pushed by those who want government to have
more control over the economy and over our personal lives.//
That can be totally true, but are you sure you don't want
us to beleive this?
Anybody who agrees with the "humans are causing
global warming" idea also wants the
government to have
more control over the economy and over our personal lives. -
The Barbarian, for example, has recently become convinced by the evidence that global warming is a fact and humans are to a significant degree responsible for it.
The Barbarian has not ventured an opinion on what steps should be taken.
