Give House Democrats credit. Having run and won a majority on a platform that promised to eliminate the culture of corruption on Capitol Hill, they actually took the initial steps toward delivering on that promise. The first formal agenda item representatives took up when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi banged the gavel last week was ethics reform. By a vote of 430-1, the House passed new rules that sever ties between lawmakers and lobbyists.

According to reports, Reid (a big user of private financed jets) is already talking about watering down the reforms. Several of the key reforms promised were left out. Democrats, Republicans...it doesn't matter. The foxes are guarding the hen house, and they still like the taste of chicken.

A political party fighting corruption??
That's a good one!
There is no such thing as a corrupt-free politician or political party. Politics, by its very definition, is dirty. -
The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Expecting a change with Pelosi/Reid and their crew running the show: INSANITY!
