I hope everyone will not think me a bigger nut case than you already do, but was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this while watching Presidential candidates in the last stage of the election?
If one watches their faces, expressions, and tones closely, it is almost like they know they are going to lose or win, and there is no turning back. Regardless of your politics or how you felt about the debates, I have noticed a turn around in this over the last several weeks. It was noticeable in the first two debates, and tonight, at the Al Smith dinner. It is nothing I can put a finger on, but a sense that Obama knows down deep he is going to lose, and Romney knows he is going to win.
I noticed it in the 1980 election in Carter's last few speeches and the last debate. It was also noticeable during the 1992 debates. Bush the First looked like he knew it was over.
Any responses appreciated. To me, this is more telling than all the polls.
