Lucerne Christian Conference Center went out of business a few years ago. The property was built as a three story hotel back in the 30s. In the 60s, it was bought by San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary. In the 2000s, the county wanted them to put in an elevator as part of the ongoing renovations. Due to many factors, LCC found that impossible. So, the property was sold. As I understand it, the proceeds were funneled into Wolf Mountain Christian Camps.

Apparently Canton Baptist Temple has a 'Christian Hall of Fame' portrait gallery:

Salty, you do know about the new chapel at SWBTS with all the fundamentalist takeover bigwigs memorialized in stained glass?

Information on this Hall of Fame can be found in a Bible code pattern in the 1769 King James Bible. That is all I know about it.
Just goes to show what you know. Nothing! Everybody knows it is the 1762 edition of Dr. F. S. Paris! :D:D:D

Windows that have already been dedicated include those for Paul Pressler, Adrian Rogers, W.A. Criswell and Jimmy Draper. On Oct. 14, a new window was dedicated, honoring the impact of Harold “Preacher” and Barbara O’Chester.

The Lucerne Conference Center is now the Lakeside Campus Lucerne of Marymount California University: Lakeside Campus Executive Director Honored - Marymount California University Catholic!
Oh no, vacant again!

University shutters Lake County campus without warning

"Marymount California University....did not notify county officials or local university staff and students, who are on summer break, before removing its equipment and furniture from the building last week. 'They left “like thieves in the night'"

"University President Lucas Lamadrid said in an email Wednesday to The Press Democrat that...the school had just 26 undergraduate students last semester"

"The university’s sudden pullout is another blot in the hotel’s history. Built in the 1920s...the hotel didn’t survive the Depression...It was purchased in 1968 by the San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary...another economic slump led to the county’s purchase of it in 2010 for $1.35 million."

Salty, I presume you saw a reference to this Fundamentalist Hall of Fame in Robert Sumner's obituary. It said he was inducted in 1976.

An internet search reveals others reportedly so honored included Bud Bierman, Neil Cadwell, Don Davis, W.O.H. Garman, Don Jasmin, Victor Sears, Staley Sorrell, Russell Stolp, Don Camp, and James Zaspel.

Victor Sears was a good friend, and Don Camp preached the Gospel message that God used to draw me to Christ. Great memories. Thanks.

Two other names from newspaper articles on Newspapers.com: Richard Dion and A. V. Henderson.

The original post above is dated two days after the death of evangelist Robert L. Sumner. The Hall is mentioned in his obit, so it seems reasonable that could have been the source -- if there is any likelihood that you were checking his obit.

Actually, Foothill Baptist is located across the bay in Castro Valley. G. Archer's brother Arno Q. was the longtime pastor of Hamilton Square Baptist Church.
