Tim, I am sorely sad to hear you talk like that. Here is what the murderer said (from cnn.com). Sounds similar, doesn't it?
Slaying suspect calls clinic closing a 'victory'
An anti-abortion activist suspected in the death of Kansas doctor George Tiller told CNN from jail the closing of Tiller's women's clinic -- announced Tuesday -- is "a victory for all the unborn children." Most of the leading U.S. anti-abortion groups have condemned Tiller's killing and disavowed the suspect, Scott Roeder, saying they wanted the clinic shut down through peaceful means. full story
and THIS
At the time Roeder was interviewed Tuesday, Rowlands had not received word of the permanent closure. But Roeder asked whether Tiller's clinic was currently operating, and told it was not, said, "Good."
He said the closure would mean "no more slicing and dicing of the unborn child in the mother's womb and no more needles of poison into the baby's heart to stop the heart from beating, and no more partial-birth abortions." -
I'm glad Dr. Tiller's clinic is closing, but I'm not glad he was murdered. I would loved to have seen him wonderfully saved and openly preach against the very murder and sin he once promoted and made money off of. Sadly it is forever too late for that.
In the end I say shame on George Tiller & Scott Roeder. No doubt both will go down as "an abhorrence to all mankind" (Is 66:24). Though Roeder, unlike Tiller, still has time to repent and be forgiven and avoid that horrible fate. -

Do you think when Hitler died the people mourned for Him? I agree we cannot take the Law into our own hands, but those who live that lifestyle can die by that lifestyle.

I for one am certainly glad that this clinic will no longer murder babies by the thousands.(10's of thousands)

Awww.. Poor MP.. YOu'll get over it...
Here, let's analyze what I said, and maybe we can diagnosis your problem with it....
I said...
Now, let's look at why I am praising God.... stay with me, this is not hard to follow...
I guess you have a problem calling sin, sin... Abortion is murder.. do you disagree? It is a place where humans are killed for convenience...
** Important here.. I am praising God because the clinic is closing.. not because Tiller was shot... I would have been happier if Tiller had gotten saved, and had given up his practice of murder.. .but he didn't.. NOW we are dealing with the aftermath.. and in the aftermath....
I PRAISE GOD THE CLINIC HAS TO CLOSE.
Now for the rest of my statement....
Why does this clinic have to close?
What is wrong with that statement?
He was the leader of the clinic.
He murdered babies
And because he did it in the thousands, he was a MASS murderer...
When he died he met his maker...
As we all will...
God is righteous, and will pass righteous judgment...
IF he got saved he will be in Heaven.
If he didn't he will be in Hell.
That is Justice... with the chance for mercy...
Again, I praise God that the clinic has to close...
NOW if only the rest of the human slaughterhouses would close, God may lift his judgment from this nation.
Let's work toward this end.. .NOT by killing others, but by changing laws. -
Tim, how about comparing and contrasting your statements and those of the shooter. I think you will see much comparison and little contrast.
Funny how "pro life" folks only are pro-unborn-life, but once you are born, to hell with you. -

Because Tim and the shooter both agree that the clinic should be closed and no more babies should be slaughtered does not mean that he believes "to hell with you". The shooter addressed the problem incorrectly. But his reasons for doing it were correct as is Tim. You focus appears to support the slaughter of unborn children. -
==To answer that question I am going to stick with the New Testament teaching on this matter. As Christians, we should take no delight in the death of the wicked because we know their fate. As Christians, our job is to pray for and seek the salvation of the wicked. This is the New Testament teaching on the matter. How Israel's military and military leaders responded to the defeat of their enemy carries no weight here. -

Most of the leading U.S. anti-abortion groups have condemned Tiller's killing and disavowed Roeder, saying they wanted Tiller's clinic shut down, but through peaceful means.
Troy Newman, the president of one of those organizations, Operation Rescue, said in a statement on the group's Web site Tuesday that his group is "thankful that Tiller's clinic will not reopen and thankful that Wichita is now abortion-free." But he added, "This is a bittersweet moment for us at Operation Rescue. We have worked very hard for this day, but we wish it would have come through the peaceful, legal channels we were pursuing."
...
But in a New York Times interview last week, Newman said closing the clinic because of the shooting would be cause for concern.
"Good God, do not close this abortion clinic for this reason," he said. "Every kook in the world will get some notion."

It is closed and that is reason to be glad. It also may cause someone thinking of opening up another such slaughterhouse to think twice about it.
Good post, Tim. -

my first post to this board in years..........
I would pick this one.
would you call this a very late term abortion?
I haven't read up on the murder as of yet, probably wont. I do hope that the shooter is not calling himself a christian; but he probably is.
I'm sure the man had plenty of chances to repent, I hope he did.
I know this. when his time run out, he was at church. i can't say where he is today (i can speculate) i do know this, he wont do it again..............
(please forgive my idle ramblings) -
On all these "tiller threads," I've been amazed at several things...
- The apparent rejoicing that a person is now in eternal torment. I hated what Tiller did, with every fiber of my being. I cannot fathom how someone can be so demented, evil, and/or confused as to do what he did. Having said that, the man is almost without a doubt in eternal torment. It is not God's will that any should perish...but since Tiller chose to ignore God's call to repentance, he shall forevermore be separated from God and in unspeakable agony. I see no reason we should celebrate such.
- I've been amazed at the eagerness of some to attempt and link pro-life individuals to the murderer of Tiller. I doubt there's a single person on this board who would say, "I completely give (insert anti-abortion group name here) complete control of my abortion position...and whatever they say, I will believe and carry out." No one here's doing that. There are a few pro-life groups that though we agree on abortion, I don't like their approach at all. But there are many that I do appreciate. Face it...they don't get balanced coverage (in fact, many are slandered); and most of them aren't limelight hogs anyway.
- It is quite possible to condemn the shooting of Tiller (and yes, IMO his killer should receive the maximum sentence allowed by law) as well as condemning the infanticide engaged in by this "doctor." Why people have problems getting that, I just don't know.

So what threads or posts did such?

God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but I don't mourn the fact the slaughter house is closed. Its sad that laws here allow this in the first place and someone took matters into his own hands to break the law"murder" himself.
