Out of the mouth of babes comes the truth and wisdom of God:godisgood: ....A few years ago, my 5 year son was talking about Jesus and the devil [following a Bible study I had with the wife and kids], and because it was Halloween, and we don't celebrate or acknowledge this day like the world does, he calmly looked me in the eyes and said: "Dad, do we not celebrate Halloween because it's the devils birthday?"
And I asked him where he got that idea, and he said that he thought that if Christmas was birthday of Jesus, than Halloween must be the birthday of the devil!
That was great thinking on his behalf. So I hugged him, and told him that he hit that  nail "right on the head!"
I just wish we could all be that intuitive to the truth of His word when it comes to evil versus the goodness of our God.
You probably have the better approach.
But I told my kids early on (as early as 4 yrs old) that Jesus was more likely born sometime in September.
I'm the master of TMI (too much information), and my kids sometimes pay the price for that. ;)
I doubt if your kids got too much info brother. To each situation there is a unique response. You did right with your kids, and I did right with mine. We are only human, and we each have different ways to parent.
