I did not say that miracles were delusional, Scarlett. I said that you were if you believe that there is any way in which Hank and I would be starting quarterbacks in the Superbowl.
Do you believe that the context of a passage is vital to understanding a text? Or do you think that any single verse can stand on its own when trying to understand its meaning?

Like Hank says - it depends.
Gen. 1:1 is pretty straightforward.
So are a lot of other verses in the Bible.
Yes,context is vital to understanding the full truth of every verse.
You still haven't acknowledged that your comment about the Superbowl is not what Hank was originally talking about.
Sorry, I just had to run with it in light-hearted sport.
I have a sneaking feeling that I am a good bit older than you.
I'm 56.
I've taught context in ELA classes and Bible classes for decades.

You assume incorrectly about my age.
Also, you are appealing to authority rather than making a sound argument in your comments regarding teaching.
I was so taken aback by Hank's comment that I could not even think about what he said other than that. What specifically would you like to know?

That sounds about as reasonable other remarks made in this thread, but I won't press it further for fear of your answer.

OK now that the smoke has cleared.
If and when the LORD awakens His slumbering church ALL differences between the true blood bought ones will diminish.
They will be put aside until the next go-around.

out of curiosity - was there ever true revival without
at least some doctrinal correction?
Does revival cast out doctrinal error? Or is revival compatible with all doctrinal error?

IMO There will be leaven to be purged so long as the LORD is not here with His rod of iron no matter how great the "revival". .
The LORD is the judge of that.

I truly enjoy good barbershop harmony.
It sort of like the assembly.
Each member must not only sing their own part, but be responsible to keep the balance so the blend is promoted over the solo.
Rare is the member of a barbershop group known or famous, but there have been countless well known barbershop groups.
