This election cycle has seemed to generate more bad blood between people on this site than anything that I have seen since I started here in 2010.
Including the Cal/No-Cal war.
Maybe, but I wasn't around for the last election, so I don't know what the baseline for election fervor is. If it hasn't died down my next spring, though...
Funny, whether politics or theology, we always seem to be divided over election.
The BB simply reflects the dissatisfaction the whole country feels toward our present politics and election. Our country is dividing itself. Our political parties have both been exposed as not being responsive to the will of the people.
It was just recently discovered that the DNC sabotaged Senator Sanders' campaign just as the GOP leadership tried to sabotage Trump's campaign.
The grass roots of both parties have run out of patience with both party's national leadership.
You may not be the only one but it is wrong. It has always been this way. There are ebbs and lows but it has always been like this. Even in other forums on this board as well. The only difference lately is the constant drum beat of calling board members racists ie, "racist" "bigot" or many other backhanded phrases. This did not begin, on this board, until the second term of Obama.
I will say this about the GOP establishment is they have managed quite the coup to turn all the anger directed at them and turn it back toward the grassroots Conservatives. If the Trump convention showed anything is that Trump and the Establishment are very much in bed with each other.
Of course I have always maintained that Trump was their 3rd choice and they were going to do anything possible to prevent Freedom loving Cruz from being the nominee.
