We could admit war is not something Christians should get involved with.

OK. I can see your point on that. I think it is the duty of all Christians to attempt to avoid war. If that fails, what then?

It can't fail. Remember we are not talking about police action, or defending one's family. We are talking about WOMD> modern warfare.

What's "absurd" is your conclusion of what I wrote.

Of course it can fail. The United States was overwhelmed with pacifist sentiment between the wars. It failed. What then?

Please show me anywhere in scripture where Jesus discussed whether or not we should get into war nationally?

Besides being ignorant anti God trash? Well, it was off topic, since it did not apply to Japan and the US for one thing.

Hilarious. So did they lay down arms, and dissolve armies? Did they turn to Christ, and decide that they would live with whatever power came along? Did they repent for nuking Japan? Sorry, Either we trust God or not.

I trust God. I trust Him to provide for my family. Should I just stay home and wait for a check from God?

How about what it says? Find an enemy and love the bugger.

Yes, they pretty much did lay down their arms. I can't say that they turned to Christ and decided that they would live with whatever power that came along. As citizens (the rulers in context of the New Testament) they decided that was not a path they wanted to follow and would pay the price to keep fascism at bay. Those who trust God are not immune from the world around them.

Ok well I have asked you legitimate questions. I have spoken to you in a civil manner. You can apparently avoid war but not an uncivil tongue. You do not really know scripture you just quote bumper stickers.

I will leave you to your misery. God Bless.

So you want to pretend God supports nukes and modern war? Run along snip...or make a case.

Head in the sand, dad1?????? Try loving the terrorist about to remove your head, or better yet, the head of one of your family members!

You can believe what you wish, but it is the brave fighting menand women of this nation who have given you the right and freedom to say what you have said, and not fear death or jail!

I think we both have presented our cases and it seems the conversation has turned into name calling. So God bless our feeble consciences as we wrestle with His eternal commands.
