.... the President of the USA doesn't set the example and follow the laws, statutes, and the Constitution he swore an oath to uphold!
:type: I believe that Obama has not only set civil rights back fifty years, he has created an example of lawlessness by taking the action he took when he signed that EO for immigration reform!
Not that what he did was a wrong thing. In fact, it was a heart-felt move by this president. Still, we are a nation of laws. A nation that has a Constitution that directs Congress to make laws and the President, who swore an oath to, to execute and enforce those laws. Now President can just say, I am going to go it alone. We have certain checks and balances that Obama has tipped to the left, and it will be difficult to correct and tip things back without hurting millions of poeple!
The protesters across America are only demonstrating the kind of lawless that says and believes, "if I can't have it the way I think it should be; I'll do it my way!"
The President could have stopped this by admitting that he stepped into a situation without knowing the facts, by apologizing to the Brown family as much as the Wilson family. Instead, he rambled on and on about not much of nothing, while fires, and riots began to break out on the televion screens around him!
It is time for this man to admit he made a mistake! In fact, that he has made a great number of mistakes in these six years. His candid remorse could be the foundation upon which this nation can begin mending. But, instead, thanks to Cambridge, Zimmerman and Brown, Obama has re-introduced racism to black America!
Yes .... I blame Obama for this, because of leading this nation, he is leaning towards his own understandings and that leaning is sending the wrong message to black America as well as those who say, "the h*%% with the laws! I'll just do it my way, and let's see if anyone dare mess with me?"
All we can do as believers is pray that God have mercy on America, and that these temper-tantrums end soon! :type:
This is an opinion OP. If you disagree, so be it. Just don't turn this into a namecalling thread. Let honest opinions and views be expressed, without feelings being hurt!
How can we expect protesters to trust and follow laws, IF ....

How can we expect the President to trust and follow laws when good ole Christians refuse to follow God's law by honoring and respecting him?
Why should he follow the laws of the country when the detractors who call themselves followers of Christ refuse to follow the law of God but then, have the unmitigated gall to chastise him?
Some of yall like to lambhast and blame everything on this man in the physical. But the spiritual brings it right back and sits it at your doorstep.
The brand of politics practiced by so many on this board has set civil rights back far more years than anything President Obama could ever do.
The example of lawlessness is being set by unrepentant individuals, en masse, in the church who don't want to believe that they have committed and continue to commit sin with their brand of politics.
He didn't break the law by signing the Immigration EO no matter how many times political conservatives want to say that he did.
The same people continue to publicly and proudly break God's law. Deal with that. -
