You're right but not because I'm a liberal but because I'm a Christian. Why make fun of people who do good things? Then again you won't get that.
How may of you have had a black person as a house guest?

I know how you downstaters are. -
And the reason I poke fun at you and others is because you take yourselves too seriously. Lighten up a little and people will listen to you. You ever hear the proverb
Pro 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Alatide, you need to realize that even Repulicans care about people. They really do. They care about the poor, they care about the sick. They care about the environment.
What you fail to realize is that Republicans and Democrats simply differ on how to solve these problems. The Democrats believe government is the answer and hate the rich and private business. Republicans believe private enterprise can do a better job than the government.
Let me ask you this, has a poor person ever gave you a job? I don't know about you, but every company I've ever worked for was owned by a rich person. And because that rich person gave me a job I was able to take care of my family.
Look, if it wasn't for rich people giving all of us jobs, the government wouldn't have any money to do anything. Because the government gets all it's money from working people. -
Hey - everyone is welcome to visit. I know Long Island is a favorite vacation destination. We have gorgeous beaches, the city close by, great sailing and....ummm.....strip malls?? -

I have PEOPLE over to my house. I am a conservative, Bible-believing Christian. There is no Jew or Gentile, there is no black or white, there is no liberal or conservative in Christianity -- there is only CHRIST!
Do you folks get my point? I do not look at skin colors, I look at Christ in people. I do not look at political viewpoints, I look at Christ in people. I do not look at religious viewpoints, I seek out those who wish to learn more about Jesus with me! Yes, even Muslims! (I had to say that one!. LOL).
My houseguests over the years have included Jerry, Bismark, Zie, Sijohn, Hassan, Bob, Tufik, Mike, and many others. Care to guess which ones were (fill in this space with your current choice of minority)? You are probably wrong! I'll make it easier -- three of these names were blacks, two were Arabs, one was an American Indian, and only one of the eight named people was white!
BTW, I know I do have prejudices and biases. I work hard to turn those over to Christ, who removes them from me. I do NOT hold onto them and accuse others of having biases (although anyone who is honest will admit to having biases). We should be trying to become more like Christ, and less divisive.

First off, the only people capable of "Christian Love" are believers... period.
Second, while reducing racial "tensions" is certainly an admirable thing, it isn't exclusively a "Christian" thing. Believers and non-believers can be doing those things... Remember tidy man, good works don't merit God's grace.
This is exactly how the Biblical Gospel gets replaced with the "social justice gospel." Jesus came to redeem the hearts of men, not create a social utopia.
And yes, I have had the rainbow of different people in my home... long and short term. My kids are examples. -

How many of you have ever had a liberal visit in your home?
-

Let's play a game, folks, called "Count the Races".....just get a checklist by yer door, and fill in the box next to the minority you "allow" into your home. The winner gets to put up the longest post in a thread about it. Keep close score, the liberals, (who claim not to be able to see race  ), are watching you.
What a bunch of puffed-up boastful garbage this thread is. I am stunned. -
-
And I'm not quite a conservative and not quite a liberal. Does that mean I only see people of mixed races? -

Having Native-American in my blood, I guess it happens every time I unlock my door.
I threw a guy and his Oriental wife OUT of my home, once. (Long story) How many points does THAT give me ? -

This thread unfortunately reminds me of little boys at my school who have a "contest" in the bathroom to see who can "target" the highest up on the wall.
Pointless.
Immature.
And it stinks.
And yes, I have had people of different "differences" in my home. -

If anyone is keeping track I would have to give this thread my vote for being the stupidest one to ever make it on BB. There ain't a black family for 30 miles in this neck of the woods. Now we have Eye-talian-Americans coming out of the woodwork. Maybe I ought to invite one over so I can feel as noble as the OP.
I'm hoping they decide not to spend the night, though. I really don't have all that many strangers spend overnight at the house. Shoot, I hate it when the in-laws come stay over. Second thought I ought invite the in-laws. The Ontario Clipper (that's a term of affection for the MIL) is Canadian. Now she looks just like the rest of the family but she talks funny- something about checking the shed-ual with Mum, eh - or something like that. So in lieu of any genuine minorities to prove I am not a racist, I submit my funny talking immigrant MIL. I hope that will help my cause.
