Jesus said that everyone who believes in Him has everlasting life. How much about Him must we know to have everlasting life? And is this the right seriotology, or must we follow the Romans road?

you cannot pick verses that you like!

Mark 1:15 is the NEW and no the OLD Testament, and it is clear that REPENTANCE is required for salvation. This is confirmed also from Luke 13:1-5; 24:47, as in the NASB, ESV, etc; Acts 2:37-38.

You missed the point. Repentance and the gospel are two distinct things. The gospel is the means of salvation not the repentance. But without repentance there is never any want to believe the gospel.

Repentance Biblically is distinct from the gospel. Nowhere is repentance in the gospel. There is no such Scripture. Mark 1:15 is proof, ". . . repent ye, and believe the gospel . . . ." The whole gospel account of John is proof.

and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem Luke 24:47. This reading is much older and more evidence

    Acts 2:37-38, "
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost"

    No repentance=NO Salvation!

the fact that a sinner REPENTS, is because they must BELIEVE in someone or something to want to REPENT!

All those believing are already in possession of it:

He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life;......Jn 3:36

.....He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life,...Jn5:24

... He that believeth hath eternal life. Jn 6:47

Abracadabra regeneration is nonsense: follow the formula, repeat the incantation, and, SHAZAAM! PRESTO CHANGO! BORN AGAIN! IMMORTALITY ACHIEVED! ANYBODY CAN DO IT! That about sums up the nonsense you hold to.

At least I don't disregard what Jesus says about repentance and faith, and what Peter and Paul preached

You blatantly disregard the sovereign operation of the Spirit in regeneration, which is the source of and FOLLOWED BY repentance and faith.

    7 Thou mayest not wonder that I said to thee, It behoveth you to be born from above;
8 the Spirit where he willeth doth blow, and his voice thou dost hear, but thou hast not known whence he cometh, and whither he goeth; thus is every one who hath been born of the Spirit.` Jn 3

Another ABUSED passage from the Bible which is showing the the regeneration of the sinner is not something that is visible to the eyes. Nothing about the Holy Spirit regenerating before repentance. This is UNBIBLICAL theology

It is of the soundest 'theology' from Jn 3 that BEFORE one can enter into, or even see the kingdom of God, they must first be born from above.

Are you daft enough to conflate the kingdom of God in Jn 3 with heaven above? If so, it's no wonder you're so confused .
