That is the typical response that I thought you would give.
So this pastor must have been living a life of sin: A North Carolina family and congregation are mourning the Thursday death of Scott Hammett, the senior pastor of Clemmons First Baptist Church. Scott Hammond. According to social media and news reports, and also a message of condolence from the the
Baptist Fellowship. Hammett was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Hickory, which is located about 60 miles west of Clemmons.
This was was a couple of years ago.
God is sovereign. No one dies "too soon" nor "too late". We all die when God has ordained that we die and in the manner that He has ordained.
We should recognize the sovereignty of God and be sympathetic to the victims and their loved ones and friends, as we will all die at some point, unless Christ returns and gets rid of this present heavens and earth and replaces them with the new heavens and earth wherein dwells righteousness, before we die.
First - I dont know how happy that bar was.
Second - if those 5 had be elsewhere in that bar, they could be alive today!
Third - and its possible - if those 5 were elsewhere - then others may have been killed.
bottom line - should we pray for the survivors and the families of those who died?
Salty, why do you ask questions you do not want answers to? You ask questions, and you then belittle and condescend opinions that are different from that of your own.
Had they not been in the bar, they would be alive.
That is NOT correct !
as I tried to explain before- - lets say one of them had gone to the restroom -
he may not have been shot - even though he was in a h/s bar!
As far as asking questions
Did you answer this one? "Should we Grieve with those who grieve?"
As far as being killed I like the Ulysses Grant quote - "Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me."
Ken, be glad to FULLY answer your question.
I either use "H/S" or Hom0se/ual because the net picks up certain words for advertising purposes.
And naturally, we do not want any advertising on BB for that demographics.
I will not use the word "g@y" for H/s
because
g@y means happy.
Remember the theme song for "The Flintstones.
--- Further - why do they prefer the "g" word - because is sounds nicer than H/s!
There are several words, I will not use - for the same basic reason.
You see, I am NOT Politically Correct - I am Politically RIGHT!
Wouldn't it be something if one of the injured was to find the Lord and become a witness for the Gospel!.
Its interesting -
there could be a drunk who finds the Lord as Savior - and our churches will just rejoice abundantly at his conversion.
BUT if a H/s were to do the same - what would be the attitude of our churches?
I tend to think that many would be suspicious of their conversion -.....
