Would appreciate your prayers. I've been ill now for 3 weeks and will have more tests run next week. We thought it was just a colitis attack, but it looks like something much more serious and frankly, I'm kind of worried.
The tests alone are an issue because I have to be completely under anesthesia which I have major problems with. . .so, if you get a chance, I'd really appreciate your prayers. Thanks.
I am sick

I am praying that the doctors will pinpoint the exact problem and that God will deliver you from your affliction by natural or supernatural means - whichever the case that He chooses.

Lord Jesus we are asking that You will help the doctor(s) to find out what the medical issue is and help the doctor to use the proper means to get her back on her feet and restored to health. We know that You not only hear, and answer
our prayers, You can heal us because You are God who can perform miracles!
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen -

I understand, have, and will continue.
Once again, I wrote something that deals with that! :flower: I hope it's of some use to you, or at least a momentary distraction. I just read it over again myself and it was a good reminder.

Oh no! I'm praying for you honey!
My friend/boss/fellow pastor's wife had issues starting in January where she had terrible stomach cramps/runs/vomiting/pain. They diagnosed her with ulcerative colitis and she had spent about a week in the hospital. She went back when the treatment wasn't working and they thought it might have been something else and treated her for that. A week later she was back in the hospital AGAIN. Turns out she had UC AND C.diff.! She ended up on a special diet, major medications (most didn't work so she ended up on the second to last medication to treat it) and in the end, was in the hospital for 28 days out of a month and a half. It was terrible. She's now been medication free for two weeks and is feeling much better - but is eating quite differently and is trying to help her body heal by having green smoothies, special supplements and such.
So I've seen what this sort of thing can bring and I will be praying that you have a great doctor with the ability to figure out just what is going on with you and to get you healed fast. The biggest thing that Mary said? She had to learn to stop doing so much. Each time she did, she got worse again. So please take it easy and get well! -
Thank you, my dear friends. Gina, thanks for the laugh. Annsni, your friend's symptoms sound like mine. Unfortunately, I do not have much confidence in this particular doctor but was too sick to wait longer for another one to become available. Interesting what you said about not doing too much. Life has been crazy hectic here the last couple of months with no rest in sight. This has completely brought me to a standstill! We're almost done with homeschool for the year, so that might help.

Is it okay to share this with others with or without your name?
What I am asking is may I have permission touse it to help others not to publish it for profit?
Thanks for sharing your talent for others to grow! -
I hope you are feeling better this morning. (((prayers)))

ABC,
Have you or your doctor considered Celiac disease? It is often very hard to diagnose. We had an interim pastor some years ago who was loosing weight, having severe digestive problems. He was diagnosed with all kinds of other problems .... and finally Celiac disease. One he knew and stayed away from anything with wheat or wheat gluten in it he was fine.
The number of products that are wheat and gluten free is increasing rapidly. A Celiac support group meets at our hospital monthly and they bring in foods. They meet on the floor where my wife and I volunteer. I have been pleasantly surprised at how good many of the products taste.
Here are symptoms:

Crabby, I can't thank you enough for reminding me about this. I have often wondered about it but had completely forgotten about it during this last episode. I'm going to talk to the doctor tomorrow and will be sure to bring this up. It is a distinct possibility as we do have food allergies at my house.

Tests showed a bacterial infection of some kind along with some other issues so now I'm getting more tests to narrow down what exactly, how severe, and how to treat it. Going to test for Celiac disease, too. Good thing is liver and pancreas were ok and internal bleeding seems to have stopped for now. Will know more after Tuesday's procedures. Thanks for praying!
