Hey folks,
Anyone familiar with the life and minstry of William Tyndale? My children have a cartoon we bought for them on the life of William Tyndale. It very briefly tells his life story. My daughter has been noticeably moved in her heart by what she saw and had been asking questions. I also see her love the Scriptures more based on the knowledge that such a man loved God so much that he was willing to die so that people could read them in their language--in her language.
So, I am looking to go a bit futher with his life and teaching. Any recommendations on a book(s) about his life and teaching? This is going to be my contribution to homeschooling our kids.
Thanks in advance for your help.
I need a book recommendation

I've seen this series before and they have one on Tyndale:

You might try this booklet by Piper...
Why William Tyndale Lived and Died
He has several good biographies on his website that you can read. -
Let There Be Light William Tyndale and The Making of the English Bible [LINK]
by David Daniell
British Library, 1994
ISBN-10: 0712303847
32 page pamphlet
I'd estimate its appropriate for 8 to 12th grade (and beyond)
It was compiled for the 'Let There Be Light' [LINK] exhibition at the Library of Congress in the mid-1990's.
It includes many black and while photos, maps, engravings and assorted pages from his bible.
It’s not flowery but it goes over the history, the politics as well as the results of Tyndale’s great achievement.
Can’t beat the price.

I would get William Tyndale's 1534 NT in modern spelling. It is edited by David Daniell. William Tyndale's letter to the reader is excellent.
