...who will be the VP, and which VP will help him win the election?
I don't see McCain as a two term president (too old), so whoever he selects will have to be younger than him for the republican party to build up prior to 2012. Who would fit this bill the best (the "Obama of the republican party)?

Well apparently he has taken up the fair tax mantra. Could it be Huckabee? Personally I doubt that he will be the running mate but any guess at this time is as good as any. :type:

If McCAin Wins... then Hillary will have two objecteves - 1) convince the NY Asembly to pass a law similar to Texas, so she can run for Senate and President at the same time
Then she can begin her president campaing for 2012 on Jan 1 '09 -
This thread is not about Hillary Clinton (she will not be McCain's running mate). Please stick to the op.

McCain has a tough choice on his hands in picking a VP.
I think The Minnesota governor would be a good choice. If he wanted to be real ingenious, Ron Pauls people are the most enthusiasic and hard working of any candidates supporters. That might be worth something.
I don't know if Huckabee brings enough to the table to get the call. It will be fascinating to see if conservatives will unite behind McCain.
