I know it will raise a few eyebrows among some on this board, but I believe that is where God wants me at this point in time.
I'm applying to Gardner-Webb

Cool.
That is near here, in Boiling Springs.
Hollar at me when you get here. I am at Catawba Heights Baptist Church in Belmont during the day. -
Jimmy, we'll make a liberal out of you yet! ;)
Joshua
P.S. Doesn't G-W train women for the pastorate? Is that an issue for you? -
I speak for the majority of BB readers - we have NO CLUE what a Gardner-Webb is!
And why, if by our resident liberal's opinion, it would it make you a liberal, would you opt to go there?
You WANT to turn out like Joshua!!??? -
If it's not personal, why is G-W your choice? There are so many other reputable, better, more inexpensive schools out there.

2)It has a block schedule, with classes only meeting on Monday and Tuesday. That would be less conflicting with my work schedule than if I attended a school without block scheduling.
3)It is SACS and ATS accredited.
4)I still have a little bit of Carolina in my blood. -
They don't seem to be as explicit as McAfee or Richmond concerning the training of female clergy. -

The Lord has been leading me in another direction, so I won't be applying at G-W after all.

Keep us updated as we keep you in our prayers. It's a big decision.

Jimmy, as a graduate of GW, I applaud the fact that you decided not to go there. It has changed alot since I attended there. It wasn't the most biblically accurate place when I was there, I butted heads with one of my religion teachers alot (even though I liked him on a personal level). They have started to go a different direction and it has made me disappointed. None of my alum dollars will go there, and it is sad that they have changed. I pray that the school eturns to the way it once was.

Jimmy, when I graduated they were just starting the divinity school. Things started to go down hill from there. The issues I had in classes was in the normal religion class that every student had to attend.

Jimmy, have you considered Ambassdor Baptist College? It is only a few minutes north of Gardner-Webb, and is very sound Biblically.
