I take this warning very seriously.

One would think to take it seriously. This will be broadcast all over the world and they want the biggest audience possible with the most loss of life possible.

Here is the lastest OBL message. Note the part that says "in your homes."

I am not forgetting that greater Detroit has the largest muslim population in the United States. -
Yes, take it seriously, by all means. But do not let it consume you. I still frequent the local Disney theme parks despite numerous people telling me that the Disneyland Resort is a top ten Al Qaeda target. The day I stop going is the day the terrorists win. -
We must take it seriously. I am seeing one thing in all the past threats that have not come to fruition....
America is beginning to doubt the Al Queda will do anything.
How many remember the story of the little boy who cried wolf? He cried 'Wolf' so much that everyone ignored him at a perilous time.
If they can make idle threats enough, they gain entrance to carry out threats when we are doubting. Take what precautions you deem necessary. By all means.
God's Word tells us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. -
I'm thinking it would be a big deal for them on many levels.
Pigskin - Pigs are filthy in the quran.
Sunday - The Christian day of worship
It will be seen all over the world - even by our troops and would serve to demoralize them, knowing they are overseas and this happened in the US
Muslims will be helping out with the game - according to the Muslim Student Organization - they are helping out that day (doesn't say what they'll be doing, just an announcement on their site)
Detroit is the largest muslim community in the US - the hardliner muslims believe that if muslims are killed accidentally during an act of jihad, it assures those muslims killed of paradise.
Not trying to hijack this thread, but I also inadvertently just checked out some conspiracy boards and they are saying there won't be a Super Bowl this year, we will be involved in a new war that starts like this:

One of the most terrifying tactics of terrorists is to apparently do nothing for a long time. This can be very unnerving to those who think they are about to succomb to a terrorist act.
We have allowed them "in the camp". Now what?
Avoid crowds on "holy-days". Let the President do his job.

I might be out of luck all the way around. My wife and I are going to be at the home of a Muslim family to watch the Super Bowl. It has less to do with religion and more to do with the fact that they have a 60" high def tv
I'm bringing the cheese and crackers, btw. -
Here's more on this threat, from the perspective of Negroponte --
U.S. agencies find no proof of looming al Qaeda attack
"Despite statements by senior al Qaeda leaders, U.S. intelligence agencies do not have information indicating the group is ready to conduct a major attack, U.S. counterterrorism officials said.
"The audio and video statements appear to be part of a propaganda campaign by the terrorist group to bolster morale in its ranks, the officials said. "
I, for one, have cashed out of the market and into physical gold, just for this weekend. Just as a precaution...
