I think most people will agree that I butt heads with A LOT of people here (including moderators) and I have not been banned or even hinted at a possible ban or even warned in that direction.
Though I go at it with a lot of the members I truly enjoy it here and enjoy talking/debating/sometimes fighting with those I disagree with. But I don't dislike anyone here. There have been times when things have gotten really tense but I discuss issues with the individual members in private and cooler heads always seem to prevail.
I’ve found this forum to be far more open than other Christian forums.
There are a few primary things that will get you banished.
1.
Denying the inspiration of any of the 66 books of the Bible.
2.
Denying the divinity of Christ.
3.
Saying another forum member does not have salvation.
4.
Posting videos without responding to comments.
5.
Repeated name-calling.
A lot of forum posters get banned on the first two.
I’m perfectly ok with this since I consider that to be the basis of Christianity and there is absolutely no point in discussing anything with someone who doesn’t believe these fundamental principles.
This is a conservative forum, both in politics and in religious beliefs.
I know liberal theologians like to play loose with the first two I’ve numbered and if you tend that way, I’d go elsewhere.
But no, you can't say that Paul wasn't inspired by God and therefore LGBT is ok.
You aren't allowed to deny the inspiration of Judges because it gets too gruesome.
You can't say the Exodus account is fictional and completely made up.
You can't say that the Bible was corrupted and the Quran is likely the true book.
etc., etc., etc.
Liberal Theologians do his all the time.
They really don't believe in any of it and they feign belief in order to sell books and make money as professors, pastors, and administrators.
1)
Does the forum affirm soul liberty, or our capacity and ability to choose to trust in Christ or not?
No, many here affirm "total spiritual inability." The Calvinist "baptists."
2)
Yes, the asking of questions designed to entrap is done here.
I was asked a question, and I answered it.
I was then banned for 30 days.
The person who asked the question was not
banned for introducing the subject.
3)
I am convinced that our current moderators and admins are fair, kind, and honest.
No need to fear mistreatment.
I been on here as long as most of these brethren and others longer... I observed over the years that there are mature Christians on here and some more mature than others... What I mean by mature, is they have been walking along time with the Lord... Don't come here and talk down to us... Attitude is important on here... Some of the brethren know each other or are known by them... I think the biggest problem that will get a person banned from here is disrespect... Some brethren are very passionate in discussions, others not so much, just test the waters... Sometime in a discussion, just walk away... Some also join that have an agenda, that you are going to listen to me and I don't care what you think... They eventually hang themselves and go out the same door they came in... In time you will discover the atmosphere of the board and the brethren... Remember play nice!... Do we always... Well?... Kinda sorta... Brother Glen:)
Yeah!... Hank that is probably true, us saints have not been perfected yet... But you didn't become so bullheaded, cantankerous and ornery, the mods had to show you the door... Brother Glen:Biggrin
Yeah... Same here!... Also have written something and after venting for awhile deleted the one I was going to post... Or after posting, let the post marinate for awhile, then didn't like where the post was headed and reported my own post, and had the mods delete it... We all know about the private conversations that go on here on the side... Did I let the cat out of the bag?... Its good for the moderators to oversee the board but to me it more important for us to moderate ourselves... After ALL WE ARE CHRISTIANS!... WWJD!!!... Brother Glen:)
