I heard he was but I can't really find anything on the net that backs that up?
Is David Jerimiah a Calvinist?

But I don't think he holds to the Doctrines of Grace. -
-
Don't know about him being a calvinist but I know he's no Baptist.
-
He's an excellent expositor of the Word. That's good enough for me.

He does declare his church as being baptist and cites the baptist distinctives. I think he has an open membership, but does teach baptism by immersion as a step of obedience.
On Calvinism, he is one of those baptist preachers who does not declare himself one way or the other, but indeed holds to many of the doctrines. He is typical of many who believe foreknowledge is the key to predestination, as do many baptists. He is premil-dispensational, if that means anything.
I think he does an excellent job of preaching the word from what I have heard and read.

He's a Baptist out-and-out and is a moderate calvinist (about 4 points instead of all 5).
That's from my evaluation only and I might be mistaken. -

Not to put Dr. Jeremiah down, but among non-PB's, really, I enjoy the Scotsman over in Ohio more.
Dr. Jeremiah can give very moving and interesting illustrations of his points, but the Scotsman in Ohio has a terrific timing for humor. -
I am not trying to discredit Dr. Jeremiah either however a number of years ago, maybe 11 or so when he was in the process of changing the name of his church he told me it was to get rid of the stigma that is associated with the name, Baptist. Than't why I said he is no Baptist.

............let me also say he is a good teacher and you can learn from him however that wasn't the question.

Great teacher, terrific church. He recently joined the SBC. He's a good Baptist leader.

And, yes, David Jeremiah is not a Primitive Baptist.
He probably doesn't even know what that is.
But, nevertheless, he is a good preacher. -
My wife and I had hit a low point in our ministry(note: not marriage) as low as one could get without backing away from ministry
We attended a FBC, Jacksonville, FL Pastor's Conference in which Dr. Jeremiah was one of the keynote speakers-----he preached a message that has got to have been one of the best encourageing sermons I have ever received in my life
One of the reasons I probably am still preaching today is because of that sermon we heard from Dr. Jeremiah

Well, bless the Lord for that, my dear brother. We wouldn't want you to miss out on ministry.
This chap is even making a tour through Canada. I don't have any dates, however.
Maybe I could go hear him again and restore a reprobate like me.....
He is a grand preacher though, and over the years I have heard many of the best.
Cheers,

Dr. Jeremiah and Dr. Begg are fine preachers and great authors. If you have the chance to buy any of their books than do so. Dr. Jeremiah's book on prophecy is worth its price in gold. You would do well in reading and listening to these two men expound the Word of God!
To answer the question: I truly never have given it any thought!
