    Mat 12:40

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

There is nothing incomplete in this verse, no need to assume anything than what it says

#'s 2-6 and 6 are wrong, based on an assumption that #1 is wrong.
There is no reason to look for a different meaning to reconcile the days in the tomb. There is not a discrepancy .

Any partial day example noted does not fit this narrative.

It is easily explained in several sites. Try this one, I just found it LAST DAYS of Jesus Timeline

And again that is an issue for a different topic. Please read post #65.

    loDebar,
    re: "no"

OK, no problem. Perhaps someone new looking in may know of examples.

It appears there have been no 6th day of the week crucifixion advocates reading this topic. But maybe there will be someone doing so in the future.

Because if you're not a 6th day of the week crucifixion advocate, then this topic does not apply to you.

    Dear Bro. rstrats,

Whatever do you mean dear brother? I do not want to infer the wrong thing so as to cause hurt feelings, ill will, or contributory ignorance on my part. So, kind sir, if you will tell me what you mean directly, I suppose I would be better equipped to draw or make a conclusion from what you have stated?

    Thanks for the conversation.

    sdg!

PS My dear Bro John of Japan and I have been on the same wavelength for many years. And when I see he has made a helpful addition to a conversation I want to say a hearty "AMEN!"

So I am truly sorry, if when I dropped by it upset you to even some small degree, please forgive.

Please accept my humble apologies kind sir.

    Rhetorician,

This topic is really directed to those who think the Messiah died on the afternoon of the 6th day of the week with His resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week. I was merely asking if that was your belief. Because if it wasn't, then the issue of this topic wouldn't be applicable to a different belief. I'm sorry if I somehow offended you. It certainly wasn't intended.

No offense, I thought I had offended you. No harm no foul. Only brotherhood.
