This is America. Truth isn't very popular. In fact . . . those who try to find it are called "truthers" as if searching for the truth is a bad thing.
But then I guess for the establishment politicians and the mainstream corporate talking heads the truth is a danger to the established order of things.
You flatter me .... but you are so blinded by your hate for me you seemed to over look post # 7. If you condemn me, you need to condemn that person too!
Besides, I know something that you seem to forget ........
Not quite.....unless you consider yourself to smart and wise and all knowing, and if that is what you believe yourself to be, the word says you will accept my rebuke and LOVE ME :smilewinkgrin: so does this mean you are going to love me, Matt?
"Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you."
"Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you."
If you believe me to be a mocker, it says to NOT rebuke me. Yet, you rebuke me time and time again. This MUST mean you believe I am wise and that I will love you in the end. Is this what you believe?
You ave a twisted view of life, so why not the Bible? This verse can also be used to expose the kind of person you are deaing with: i.e., I know what you are and it ain't a wise man. I am pointing out to you that this verse is intended to show the two kinds of people in this world.
"If you rebuke a mocker, you will only get a smart retort (now that fits you to a tee); yes, he will snarl at you (you again, just look at your comment?). So don’t bother with him; he will only hate you for trying to help him. But a wise man, when rebuked, will love you all the more."
So, which are you? Are you a wise man? If you are you will love me for showing light on a fault.
Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible:
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee,.... For wicked men are apt to hate those that publicly rebuke them, Amos 5:10. Hence minister's of the word are of all men most hated; though this also should be bore with, could it be thought, or there was any reason to believe, that the reproof would be of any service. The scorner here, and in the preceding verses, may not only design profane sinners, sensualists, and atheists, that despise all religion, and scoff at all that is good; but also proud scornful Pharisees, such who derided Christ himself, and trusted in themselves, and despised others, Christ and his apostles, and their ministrations, Luke 16:14; and such, as Christ came not to call them himself, so he bid his disciples let them alone, Matthew 9:13;
It's you with the twisted view of the Bible. You read translations of the Bible where people take that "creative license" you like to speak about and run with it. They add to the Word of God...pitiful.
No you haven't really read THE Bible. No one today has, they have only read a version of a version of a version. So who is to say that one versionis superior to another.
As for you other comment, I forgive you for being the way you are!
