    I've never heard anyone say that all versions are okay.

    All versions are okay.

    The ERV makes a good conversation piece on the coffee table. Its okay for that.

    The ASV makes a good display in the old bibles display case. Its okay for that.

    The RSV makes good kindling when I light the fireplace. Its okay for that.

    The NIV makes a good paper weight. Its okay for that.

    The NASV makes a good book end. Its okay for that.

    Well, I could go on, but you get the idea. Every version is okay for some use or another! :D

    So do you think this verse is speaking of the King of Babylon or Satan?

    I believe the verse is speaking of a temporal person, but is also used to illustrate a spiritual truth regarding the fall of Satan.
