I am definitely from the old school on this topic, and what I am going to say is my opinion, and mine alone!
I see more and more men, and women with tattoos, and to me, it is disgusting, especially on the gals! It takes me back to the day and time when the only folks that had tat's worked in carnivals and the circus or were in the Navy!
Personally, I think these folks will one-day wish they had not gotten tattoos, but, then again, maybe they won't, and who really cares.
For the tattooed men and women who are born-again, they will have one more thing to shout PTL over, as their new body will be a tattoo free!
One more job that won't exist [if jobs exist] in heaven. Along with there being no need for doctors, undertakers, dentists, politicians, soldiers, preachers and janitors, there will be no need for tattoo artists! IMHO

One of the side-benefits of being in China is that a tattoo is a rare sight --yes, quite the blessing.

I think it is very odd that this is coming from someone who has a tattoo themselves. It is very hypocritical. It doesn't matter if theirs is bigger or more colorful or speculatively located somewhere that you think may be inappropriate if so. Someone with a tattoo has zero business shaming somebody about their tattoos. It's like a 350 pound person telling a 400 pound person that they are too fat. Matthew 7:3-5

corndoggy, don't know for whom you're addressing your comment toward but the Real Issue here..., is as following in red.
Coming full circle here..., aren't we all guilty of offering forth an "extension" of another's position or belief when it comes to biblical issues?
Do we spend much time thinking for ourselves or just copying others? Yes, we need to rely on those who have been there and done that but why then, do we shut down the thinking process and accept the bait..., hook, line and sinker? Another's belief or position does not constitute fact.
...just rambling.
The comments by me in the beginning was merely an "opener" statement leading to the point I was trying to get across.
You see..., it appears to me that we are all guilty of following another, or others, when it comes to a lot of biblical speculation and opinions. It would appear to me that once someone has reviewed all the commentary from all the Biblical Scholars - each offering up a differing point of view - doesn't necessarily make any of them right. So why do we fight to the death based on another's..., biblical art work..., if you will. -

I have a tattoo, on my left arm, midway up the bicep. A little shows if I have a short sleeve on. I got it in Perth, Australia in 1981. I must have chosen the right shop because the colors are still vibrant. Getting tattoos in a foreign country was a right of passage, in the Navy. All my friends had them.
And although I don't like tattoos on necks, and I find my self repulsed at folks who have ruined their faces with tattoos and piercings, I have to support the right to look foolish. -

Henna tattoos (brown stained hands and other parts) are apparently all the rage amongst trendy Christian gals (and some guys):

Edited to add: This is not to say I am against tattoos. But parents might be letting their teens get henna tattoos, only to find it won't come off. -
What another does to their own body willingly is no concern of mine. While I do not find tattoos attractive, they do not have to please me. Nor would I express that I don't find them attractive to a stranger in casual conversation. Whether or not someone is tattooed has zero impact on the lives of others.

To me, personally, a woman can be twice the beauty of a young Elizabeth Taylor, once I see her pop that cancer stick into her mouth, well..........:sleeping_2:
