I agree! Samuels: Rom 5 says Christ obeyed for us. In Heb chps 7,9, Christ died for ALL of our sins,
past, present, and future (otherwise he would have to die many times.)

We have positional sanctification but God calls us to work with him on daily (practical sanctification.)
We don't cooperate with Him out of fear of loss of salvation. We cooperate because we love Him!

His theology seem to be that Jesus paid for past sins, and up to us to merit salvation in the end!

    Gee, thanks!
[Crude language edited], I'm not talking about da bold ...
I'm talking (obviously) about all of those [Crude language edited] who do
NOT love and appreciate Jesus enough to obey Him.

It is necessary for you to ...
RECONCILE the so-called OSAS verses with the anti-OSAS verses!

Jesus stated that he will NEVER LOSE any who are saved by Him, truth or lie?

There are NO passages that support real Christians becoming unsaved!

Foist, there's nothing in the NT about "real Christians".
We have believers who are faithful (enduring, obedient, etc.),
    and
we have unbelievers who are not faithful (not enduring, disobedient, etc.).

So, who were falling away, drawing back, etc. ... and from what?
FROM what and where ... TO what and where?
    Kapisch-ola?

    This is tougher.
Father God gives some to Jesus to be in the Kingdom.
Satan also plants some in the Kingdom.
They exist together in the Kingdom
(re: 2 parables in Matthew 13)

Who is who? ... Who is saved by Jesus?
How about considering for a change? ... John 10:26-28
The sheep who are given eternal life by Jesus ...
    -- HEAR His voice
    -- FOLLOW Him
-- are KNOWN (approved) by Him

People may risk their eternal lives on how they interpret the above 3 conditions.
Hey ... they may luck out ...
by being a disobedient unbeliever (end of Hebrews 3) and still end up in Heaven!

    Samuels,
    How quickly you forget!
Rom 5 says Christ obeyed for us. HIS obedience was credited to us! In Heb chps 7,9, Christ died for ALL of our sins, past, present, and future (otherwise he would have to die many times.) This means that IF we sin habitually, like an unbeliever, we are still saved! Good people DON'T go to heaven--only forgiven people do! And if we confess our sins, He WILL forgive us. BTW, Rom 6:16 mentions physical death, not your parenthetical (eternal) death. Shame on you!

We have positional sanctification. This means that no matter what we do, God still sees us as holy. (We are imputed with both the righteousness and holiness of Christ. God looks through Jesus at us. He sees no impurity or stain.) Our cooperation with God on our daily (practical) sanctification can be a broken, sin-stained, sometimes frustrating, journey. But, the Holy Spirit is our ever-present helper and Guide.

    Lara,
You completely ignore all of the many dire warnings given to the churches in the NT.
They are there for a reason ... to guide God's elect down that very narrow path to life.
I'm so proud of myself for not adding the (eternal) to life above!

BTW, thanks for informing us that Jesus goes around killing believers who sin (re: my sig).

Jesus stated that He will save forever those whom He saves, as he died and intercedes for them, and he made NO qualifications to that, so all stay saved!

paul addressed you as being foolish, in Galatians, as you are seeking to mature by Law, but need to walk in grace!

    G'day Samuels,

Jesus used the word "knew" in the same sense of personal, intimate awareness. For example: Amos 3:2; Jeremiah 1:5. In Amos 3:2 God speaks to Israel, “You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.” The Lord knows about all families, but He knew about Israel in a special way. In Jeremiah 1:5 God is not saying that He knew about Jeremiah, but that He had a special regard for the prophet before He formed him in his mother’s womb. In Matthew 7:22-23 our Lord cannot be understood here as saying, I knew nothing about you, for it is quite evident that He knew all too much about them – their evil character and evil works; hence, His meaning must be, I never knew you intimately nor personally, I never regarded you as the objects of my favor or love.

Also see 2 Timothy 2:19 with emphasis and Romans 8:28 as well as Romans 8:29. The Lord knows about all men but He only knows those “who love Him, who are called according to His purpose”. In Romans 8:29 whom is the object of the verb and not works. Give that pause, because "they" (Elect persons) are the objects of His love, He set His affection upon them.

    God bless,
    William

Here's a scripture that fully agrees with what you're saying, Yeshua1:

"Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him.
He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf." (Hebrews 7:25 NLT)

    Samuels,
THIS is Once Saved, Always Saved!

You would have to be able to overcome/overpower Jesus to get lost, "good luck" with that!
