You don't get it as the left usually don't. None of these are relevant to his question. But the left needs a distraction from the hard hitting question that makes Obama look bad since he wants to spread the wealth around.
Dream on my friend, dream on. Joe is an employee, does not own the business,
does
not have a license, is behind on his taxes, and probably will be declared ineineligible to vote because of the Republican efforts in Ohio. Ironic, isn't it?
Sounds like a right wing plot that backfired.
Will the Republicans accuse Joe of voter fraud? Check the other thread for the article.
Joe never said he owned a business, he never said he was not an employee, he never said he ad a license, and the taxes are irrelevant to this situation. This is a smear campaign to distract from the communist words of Obama that is so damaging.
But these are things the left are perfectly aware of and at this stage many independents are moving toward this message also. You can call the message communist, liberal etc... but it seems to be what the majority are seeking. In a democracy, that makes it the American message (IF the majority votes for that message).
People also admire his strait forwardness. When is the last time you seen a candidate 3 weeks from an election look a voter in the face and say, "Joe, if you make more than $250K/yr then yes, I will raise your taxes". For many of us who make no where close to $250K, that message is music to our ears and a welcome change from the last 8 year.
There is also a message that is automatically rejected and the conservatives doesn't seem to get it, the message that we can boost our economy by giving tax breaks to the rich. We've been doing that for the last 8 years and lost another 150K jobs last month alone. The philosophy doesn't seem to be working which makes people desire "change".
There were already three Joe the Plumber the threads from both sides of the aisle this morning in the News Forum. I merged them all here for ease of discussion.
I disagree, I think his tax situation shows us much of his motive.
It's like a guy asking the CEO of United Airlines questions about recent terrorist threats and exclaiming his extreme disappointment of the airlines position on air safety. Then you learn the guy doesn't fly, wasn't planning a trip and there were no recent terrorist threats. This makes his motive suspect. It says he had no real concern about flying or air safety or terrorist, instead, it appears he was trying to hurt the airline business by scaring others from flying.
True he has committed no crime but people DO have a right to question his motive...
The fact that he doesn't honor his current tax responsibilities and really wouldn't qualify for a tax increase under Obama plan makes his motive suspect.
He further presented himself as an average American and future small business owner that would be hurt by Obama plans which was false representation. Even if he did buy this business his taxes would not increase under Obama plan so him saying Obama plan would keep him from buying this business is false.
Have you seen the polls? How do you say they are not seeking this?
Where in the constitution does is say the majority can't vote for a candidate with the economic philosophy they desire? Where does it say the president can't present legislation to increase taxes for a certain tax bracket? In a democracy, it becomes constitutional when the majority vote it in to law.
We have a candidate running for President we know very little about. The press refuses to inquire about his associations with radicals in Hawaii and Chicago (Cone, Ayers, Wright, Farrakhan, Phleger). Or how he was admitted into Harvard Law School. Why he will not release his medical records or his college transcripts. Could go on and on.
But "Joe the Plumber" asks "The One" a simple question and Barry exposes himself as the Marxist he is and the campaign and the press (who can tell the difference) goes into full blown mode to destroy Joe. I now know more about Joe that I need or care to know. Everything that should be up now is down. Amazing
Do not dare to speak against "The One" or you may find your entire personal history out there for the world to see.
The issue is not Joe the plumber. The issue is what Obama said (as an answer) when he did not know he was being recorded. Obama's "spread the wealth" answer is the problem. All of this fuss over "Joe" is a distraction.
And now the press is trying to distract us by going after Joe. Obama and his redistribution
mentality is the problem. IMO Barry wishes to destroy the 'Middle Class" (however that is defined) and make them dependent on the government. He seeks to have have two classes of people - taxpayers and tax consumers. How people cannot see this is beyond me.
The hypocrisy of BHO is so plain for any thinking person to see.
Apparently he believes only in redistributing the wealth of you and me and not his own, because he hasn't redistributed any of his personal wealth to his own poverty stricken relatives living in Kenya and he has not furnished the village school with electricity and running water like he promised them, either.
What a jerk.
If I'm not mistaken, during the debate Wednesday, Obama stated he did not mind paying additional taxes.
What is stopping him now from paying more. Certain he itemizes his deductions to reduce his tax and takes any credits he can.
Maybe he should take the standard deduction (like most Americans); could file married filing separately, etc. He would pay more taxes without raising any rates. But a Marxist would never do that.
Like I said, your wealth and my wealth, Obama wants to spread around, but apparently not his own wealth.
Just think, the school isn't wanting a lot of Obama's promised money, just bare necessities like running water, sanitation, and electricity.
Obama could at least hire Joe the plumber to help with 2 of the three things (plumbing and sanitation) for the school - that would be the American and Christian thing to do, instead Obama and his minions would rather destroy Joe.
Message to Obama:
How about "putting your money where your mouth is."
Polls do not say they want more taxes. And where in the constitution does it say the feds are to collect more taxes from us to redistrbute wealth around?
Not to worry, Rev.
If Obama gets in and has a Democratic controlled Congress, this won't be the only change they make to Our Constitution.
Maybe they'll even declare it null and void.
