Our whole pastoral staff is leaving on Wednesday for a mission trip to Belgium. Everything was set up for the 2 wed's and 1 Sunday (am and pm) we would be gone.
So today, the music guy bails on me. Trying to set it all back up so I can leave and not have nightmares about it every night while away. :tonofbricks: :BangHead:
No real reason for writing this except that I just wanted to unload... I bet all of you have had this happen to you also. In spite of that I am excited by what God will do on both sides of the Atlantic.
Just Whining

What's the worst that could happen if you didn't have a "music guy"? Get a talented teenager to lead a couple of songs and be done. :D (seriously, one of our teens is directing the entire choir during part of our Christmas thing and he is doing great!)

Ya gotta love ministry, huh? I agree - get a teen and let them go. :)

Wow, Alabma and Long Island agreeing... that must be the leading of the holy Spirit. Great thought, I hadn't thought of using a teenager.
As to what might happen...:eek:
Seriously, thanks! See it does good to whine sometimes! -

There are a lot of teens out there that are very capable of stepping up to lead. I'm thinking the kid helping us is 16 or 17 too, so there ya go!

Aw, I'm sorry. Isn't it amazing that we in ministry are ALWAYS supposed to be faithful, but the others can bail out whenever? Been there, done that. I guess it just goes with the territory.
It will be ok, really. Have fun on your trip. If they don't sing, they don't sing. Or maybe someone will step up to the plate and serve. Either way, don't sweat it. God will work it all out for you. (You may hear some whining when you get home, but by then it will be Christmas and people will be in a good mood.)
