Good riddance. At least the liberal that Obama appoints will not have the tenure that Stevens had, and maybe the new SCJ liberal will lean more conservative in years to come, unlike Stevens. If God allows the time, then time will tell.

President Obama will have a hard time trying to find a more liberal judge. Stevens is another fine example a Republican appointee. -
THis won't be a big to-do. We're going to see one leftist replaced with another one.
I doubt there's much of a fight...unless the Community Organizer's choice is so wacked-out as to be scary. Of course, now that is entirely possible... -
My issue is not not so much liberal v conservative but loose constructionist vs strict constructionist. All I want are justices who believe that the Constitution means what it says it means. -
