Bro. Tim, Two things: One, The Pilgrims brought the Geneva Bible on the Mayflower. Two reasons: One they were Puritans and didn't yet accept the KJB. Two: The KJB wasn't readily available for them to bring on the Mayflower. Why not? The Puritans were yet prevented from obtaining the KJB becuase of the persecution that helped drive them to America, and thank God for the persecution that helps accomplish the will of God!

Another, If you look at the message you're reading, you will notice an icon for quoting w/reply. Clicking it will copy the post as a quote in a reply window. If you scroll down on an open reply window, you will notice the section you want to reply to in another window format. Scroll thru it just like you would in the regular window. Notice the quote icon at the bottom below the "graemlins and Intstant ubb code". Click on it. Click between the two quote text in the open reply window to take anything you've copied to paste inbetween and it will appear as a quote.

I am under the impression you already know to highlite and go to the edit button at the top of your browser and click on copy, then when you get to the reply window, right click and a prompt shows with the "paste" option. make sure you have clicked on the area you want to paste, click "paste"

Hope to have been a help.

Not quite. The Puritans, prior to leaving England, had full access to the KJV. They chose to continue using the Geneva Bible. When the KJV was issued, it received quite a bit of criticism from the English speaking commonfolk of the time. One of the criticisms was that it was written in the more formal English of the nobles, not common everyday English (the koine Greek, otoh, was common man's Greek). Formal English was not the English which was spoken by people in everyday usage. To combat the criticisms, King James made it a jailable criminal offense to possess any translation except for the KJV (even making illegal the translations issued by his predecessors, King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. The Puritan pilgrims, seeing this as the last straw in the persecuation of their faith, left England for the New World. They arrived in 1620, carrying with them the Geneva bible. Their arrival was several years after the arrival of the Dutch colonists in what is now New York. The Dutch colonists carried with them the Dutch Pulpit Bible, which was neither in English, nor a KJV translation.

    Interesting,
if the Holy Spirit knew English
    (which He could have learned
from reading the KJB that He inspired)
He would have used correct English
    and said:

    YOU'RE IN ERROR!

I'm having a hard time believing that God called you
and sent you out into the internet mission field
and didn't bother to prepare you.

Ahhh, yes. God doesn't call the equipped, He equips those he calls. However, not everyone takes the time to learn how to use the "equipment".

In short: God will equip those he calls,
But we must prepare what God has equipped.

I can`t get this stinking quote grabber to
work,it`s like trying to find NIV words in the
Strongs Concordance . Thanks for trying to help.
I have NEVER heard a peep out of these other
KJBO`s you mentioned...Did Ed and Tiny Tim chew
them up and spit them out, or were they kicked
off like Robycop tried to get me kicked off ?
I`m sorry fellows, this is how I was taught to be about my Bible . Jeff Owens has a message
about his bulldog " Buttons " and how she wouldn`t
let go... so I deceided that I would be that way
too . Jack Hyles , Bob Gray , Curtis Hutson ,
Harold Sightler , Oliver B. Greene and my Pastor
teaches me the same thing I believe , and that
is , the King James Bible is THE WORD OF GOD, it
doesn`t contain the words of God, it is the word
of God ! If I didn`t believe it, I`d have no
assurance of salvation, and nothing to hold on to
in time of need .Isa. 5:20 Forever .

    In like manner the NIV
    is the WORD OF GOD.
In like manner the nKJV is the WORD OF GOD.
In like manner THE MESSAGE is the WORD OF GOD./

One Living Word of God: Messiah Iesus.
Many written Words of God: the Holy
    Bible, in English alone.

    written properly.

Is that all you're good for Ed,correcting
    spelling and grammer. You're quite
    the Pharisee?

I lead my first soul to the Lord in
1958. What were you doing in 1958?

Did i tell how once i really did talk
(cyber-talk) with a real live Pharisee?

    Bro. Tim,

A serious question: are you this beligerent all the time?

A Christian has the mind of Christ, a Christ-like attitude. I do not see Jesus ranting and raving at every Pharisee that disagreed with Him. On the contrary, He asked the Father to forgive even as He hung on the cross.

I will be the first to admit that I can be rather sharp at times, but I can also say that I go back and appologize to those whom I have offended.

Everyone is passionate about something, and that is a good thing. But the verbal abuse that you are slinging about is uncalled for. Besides, it is God who saves, and it is He who gives the assurance of eternal salvation, and it is He who loves ALL of His children. It would do us all good to remember that.

    In Christ,
    Trotter

Uh-- "Timmies"? No, it may be something milder.

Anyway, if you're not a coward, answer this question previously asked you:
Are the following words inspired by Satan? ... "herefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit."

Lord, forgive those NIV supporters for they
know not what they do...Open thier eyes, take away
the scales from thier eyes, soften thier hearts
to the truth, and let not my zeal offend them, but rather see that I do fight for the truth you`ve
    given me .

That is my honest prayer for all of you .

    Good Night All.

Last week i helped 27 ministers to
    improve their serve. Here is
    my there, they're, their lecture:

    THERE - over yonder
THEIR - what belongs to them
THEY'RE - short for "they are"

    Bro.: " ... soften thier hearts ... "

Right "their", wrong spelling. Should be:

    soften their hearts

    And sleep well.

</font>[/QUOTE]Nice little ploy, but one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord, so the Holy Spirit will even make satan say those same words. :D

Tim, this isn't Zeal... you are just downright hateful and hatefilled. You spend so much time fighting over versions while the Bible says not to argue about the unimportant stuff. I very really sorry for you.

This is from the page you sent me to in your post. Doesnt sound like David Cloud disagrees with Gail, like you think he does.

    4. The problem I have with this book is not necessarily with the general thesis. 4. The problem I have with this book is not necessarily with the general thesis. While I do not believe the connection between the modern versions and the New Age is as direct as Mrs. Riplinger contends, and I would discount many of the connections she tries to make, I have no doubt that there is a demonic involvement in the modern versions. I believe one can trace a clear line of demonic deception stretching from Tischendorf to Metzger. I do not see the modern versions DIRECTLY PROMOTING the New Age. Rather I believe the facts testify that the multiplicity of modern versions is AIDING the New Age by subtly weakening the authority the Word of God once held in the churches and in society. This is Don's Wife. Maybe you should have read a little further than the first paragraph of the page you sent me to.
