This is good news and a pretty decent deal. Well at least they'll have a great campus. The former TRBC campus is pretty good size and has plenty of usable space. This will certainly help with the seminary's expansion.
Now it is interesting that the mother church is getting a bunch of money from the school they started. Not the funny money that used to be passed around. ;) -

Well LBTS knows it needs to expands its faculty and make the shift. The old TRBC campus is going to be great for them.
The hard part is going to be whether they stick to their founders' beliefs for faculty expansion. It is hard to find thorough-going seminary faculty who ascribe to their theological positions. The pool is very small.
I caught up on some alumni news lately and saw the expansion of the stadium (Conference USA here we come) and the accreditation being moved up to level VI. These are all great moves.
Last time I was through the Burg the school is crazy growing. Honestly it is so well positioned to be the leading evangelical school in another ten years or so if they watch themselves. -
What is on the old campus now? Just checked my certification in counseling hanging on the basement wall I got from Liberty (Ed Hinson, Jerry and Jay Adams ran a program) and it was 1977 - last time I was there!!
That was a huge complex and had elementary school there, too.
