Seriously? You made a joke about this name. Think you better take a step back and examine your own jokes before you jump on someone else's. JFJ would never have stooped your level.

Guys, these "back & forths" are getting to be obviously for arguments sake rather that any reasonable replies & disagreements. They certainly do not represent Christ any more than the photo op did.
In the name of Jesus, I ask y'all to cool it! Thanks!!

Did you google it? Have you seen the pictures of him hanging out and partying at a bar? I'm not going to go look for them because I don't want to look them up. I saw them once, don't need/want to see them again.

    Yawn.

I don't believe drinking nor bars are sinful in and of themselves.

He has? Are we talking about the same photo from the other day? That is NOT fleeing the APPEARANCE of evil.

So you saying if a sin is captured on a photo it's forever? Is that biblical?

    And did he apologize, repent?

You are putting words in my mouth. Nobody has said it is forever so stop using that argument.

Actually he tried to deny/cover it up. And for the record, an apology is not the same thing as repentance.

Well take him to the woodshed!

My gosh, can you hear yourself? I'll take a repentant sinner any day over rabid accuser.

What do you think I am even arguing in favor of? I am saying his behavior patterns are disappointing and the leave of absence is appropriate until he can get his act together.

Patterns? How often is the stuff happening? Weekly? Monthly? Annually? Please explain.

If it's a handful in incidents over years, I'm not impressed, especially if they're over belly jokes and the like.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but it seems you ought to step away from this cause you're all wound up.
Do you not believe that God ordains the raising up and removing of individuals according to His perfect will?
Do you think Mr Falwell is above God's discipline and direction over his life?

I'm actually laughing at some of this stuff. Seems so petty. I thought your joke about his name was in poor taste.

I like JFJ. I like this humor. Yes, he needs to be careful, but he acknowledges this.

I do not think that our best Christian leaders are very spiritual individuals to begin with therefore I’m not moved by this incident.

When Job (God’s most righteous man on the planet earth) was finally given chance to respond what did this Superman say? I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes. What did the prophet Isaiah say when ushered to the presence of God? I am a man of an unholy life and I live among a people of unholy lives. Yes indeed my brothers, none of us are spiritual in any way that merits self glorification.

Even when JF Jr was on his very best behavior he still, was violating the character of God. 2 Cor 4:5

Forgiveness doesn't mean that there are no consequences.
