stubbornboy, what are you talking about?

its also called prosperity gospel

Well,
From my view point God's Gospel of "For God So Loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son..."
Has absolutely nothing in common with the heretical teachings of the extreme prosperity teachers.
These heretics preach Godliness is a means to wealth... Their treasure is on earth where it will rightly corrode and be stolen...
Not, all teachers who teach some form of Prosperity do so in the extreme... Some actually have balance...
For decades Classical Pentecostalism was earmarked by the Doctrine of Suffering... It was *all* hardship and suffering, poverty and loss. For Christ of course.
Now we've gone in the far opposite direction that God's wants everyone to give to ministries so God can bless you and give you a million dollars , a new Cadillac and home...
Either extreme is NOT taught in Scripture...
If we *really* want to get into this... It might prove interesting for those Baptists who haven't been exposed to it...
But, it can be a really exhausting and nasty debate...
My view is that when you seek first God's Kingdom and Righteousness He will Bless You...
But, if you seek the material good first then your heart is not on Jesus...
Paul wants us to Prosper as our soul prospers...
They talk about seed faith and planting 'seeds'. But, I continue to point out that seed talked about in the NT is The Word of God and from that we are to harvest souls... -
They're a dangerous bunch... and one ought to say far, far away from them...
Paul talked about them too.... said, that they "Preached the Gospel to enlarge thier borders." I don't know the excate quote. But it's there.

Yep two different and extreme areas of doctrine...
Yes... God loved each of us so much He Gave Jesus...
But, His Justice will still prevail...
We know this to be true because at the end of all things there is yet a Judgment to come...
Doesn't close with love closes with Judgement...
And, the primary basis of that Judgment is what a person did or didn't do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ...
Whether they made Him their personal Lord or not...
It's a two part position Jesus fills He can not fill (will not fill) one without the other...
He is *LORD* and *Savior*... -
so how do we refute people who are in this teachings?
