A friend of mine reserved a hotel room at a Marriott. He got there and the room was not available so he went to another hotel. He later found out he was charged for the hotel room. Marriott won’t refund the money. What do you suggest?

He got there before or after guaranteed check in time?

Sounds like they need an attorney.

If they want it that bad. Otherwise all they can do is complain. Perhaps send it to the CC company as an unauthorized charge for service/goods undelivered etc.

He needs to call his credit card company and dispute the bill.

He got there before guaranteed check in time and they didnt let him check in. I see no problem unless he was denied check in after guaranteed check in.

That goes no where when dealing with a reputable company, especially one who issues credit cards.
