You have no right to judge his words any more than you have a right to judge his heart.
Luke 6, NASBNo man praises God unless inspired by the Holy Spirit to do so. McConaughey is a new Christian, he may not know the exact words to say, but nonetheless God's name was spoken in praise before a gathering of mostly heathens.
44 "For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. ."
And you choose to say negative things about how he said the words?
You. Have. No. Right!
When your witness is perfect, then you may speak. Until then, be silent, except when led to speak by the Holy Spirit.
Hint: This wasn't one of those times.

You're not the first to view themselves as a legend around here, and not the first pretender either.
-
More like a "legend debunker," as most here seem to think that of themselves -- usually while labeling others as having that same malady. -

And I hate to tell you - but the worst thing you could ever tell me to do is to shut my mouth.
I ain't shutting up about this as long that there are people getting a spiritual thrill, chill, and goose bumps over the fact that MM quite nebulously mentioned that "God" gifted him with these wicked films.
If Christians are getting all spiritually titillated because some actor gives God credit for indecent films -
- then we as Christians have a profoundly low threshold of what we consider holy and righteous and spiritual.
Even thought I'm far more disappointed with Christians who are proclaiming Matthew McConaughey's name as this cool, hip, upcoming new Christian who we need to molly-coddle than that am with MM who wrongly used God's Name to give credit to these pornographic films -
- they both make me sick. -
