Wife and I were reading Christmas cards and letters and thinking back to friends over the years. Our first full-time church had a letter, inviting us back to the 50th anniversary of the church.
We looked back to Dec 20, 1970, and realized that it was our first day of full-time ministry.
35 years. I had finished grad school campus work (completed my master's thesis in the spring of 71) and Dec 1 accepted the call to Bethany Baptist in Grand Blanc (Flint) Michigan. We commuted 8+ hours each way for 3 weekends, then we packed a trailer and headed out.
Lots of life and lots of ministry has passed in these 35 years. Seems like just yesterday. But would not trade a minute. God's been better to me than I deserve.

Obviously! He put you in Wyoming and nobody deserves to be that blessed.

Way to go Dr. Bob. Congratulations on your faithful service to the Lord.

I am always grateful to God as He gives His faithful servants many years of ministry. He uses them to be a real blessing and encouragment to me. God Bless you Dr Bob and your Teresa.
From Bro Tony and my Teresa -
Dr Bob, I want to congratulate you on your years of service. I'm reminded of the words of David in Psa. 39:4 "Lord, make me to know mine end". With the thought that I want to stay faithful to the Lord until He takes me home. I think almost daily of an old friend of our family in years past, Dr. Andy Telford who preached almost to the day he died of over 100 years old. May the lord bless you with another 35 years if He tarries that long.

Congratulations, Dr. and Mrs. Bob! "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful" (1 Cor. 4:2).

Who would have ever expected that North Minneapolis bus kid would amount to anything....of course there is a question in some minds whether he did. :D :D
I guess we have to give you credit for some accomplishments. Actually a large part of your success is because of one of those Bohren girls that you have made it where you are today. ;)
