Lauren needs some time to rest and get her vital signs under control before they can do the surgery, so she was released from the Hospital and is now home. Thankfully our family is together again!
We have two prayer requests:
1. Health: Lauren's heart rate spikes up to 160-170 when she stands up. This is due to an overactive thyroid or air in her chest from the torn esophagus - they're just not sure which. Pray that she can manage this OK at home and that the esophagus heals quickly. Also, she hasn't had nausea for a few days now - pray it doesn't come back.
2. Insurance: Because she was admitted thru the ER at our local hospital and transferred to NY Presbyterian, the insurance covered this even though the NYC doctors were not in our plan. Pray that the insurance would allow her to be re-admitted when the time comes. The alternative was to stay in continuously for 1 to 2 weeks, but there is not much they could do, and that would have cost the insurance company much more than her coming home.
We believe God is orchestrating this, and we are so thankful for your prayers and support.

God is Good! So happy to hear that Lauren is home. Will continue to pray that her strength will be built up and her other health problems are resolved before her surgery.
Praying also for the financial resources needed to insure Lauren's treatment is comprehensive and complete. -
In my prayers.
