You are talking about two totally different things. It wasn't Russian Conspiracy it was flat out fabrication. Big difference.
And yes, there are some on the right that are talking about concerted efforts to throw the election with ballot machines and such. That is not what MANY on the right complain about. We are crying foul about the intentional breaking of laws in the name of the pandemic to reach a certain outcome.
Chauvin still has an opportunity to argue his case through the appeals process. Surely you are not denying he has that legal right, are you?
No conspiracy theory at all. A juror that convicted him lied to the judge about his knowledge of the case and his willingness to be unbiased.
Given this one fact (not even considering the city agreeing to $27 million settlement during jury selection, no sequestration, Aunti Maxine stirring the crowd, etc....) the conviction must be overturned and a new trial ordered.
Sure there is a process to appeal.
There is an alleged juror issue, which the judge will look at. This is all standard procedure. It doesn't mean the case needs to be retried.
What is curious to me is why people desperately want Derek Chauvin to be innocent. It comes across as racist.
Most people have told you they want a fair trial, not a specific outcome. This info about the juror is stunning and clearly shows biased. I can’t imagine a new trial will be denied.
I was part of the group that thought Chauvin was guilty and argued that position on this board. After hearing the evidence, I changed my mind.
The prosecution argued Mr.Floyd died from a heart attack due to low blood oxygen levels that was caused by the police restraint (knee on the neck).
The autopsy revealed normal blood oxygen levels (98%), therefore, the prosecutions theory of cause of death is proven false.
I have no support for Chauvin. His actions were disgusting. But according to the evidence, he did not cause Mr.Floyd’s death.
