There is no help for a person who refuses to open their eyes.

Go to Google Earth and use the feature of flying an airplane. Fly it over West Virginia and see the destruction of the mountains there. It is a horrible sight and to believe that man who has destroyed so much of the landscape and not have impacted the environment is to continue in total irrationality. It does not take scientific proof to see the destruction of the landscape. The environment is harder to see and prove. But look at the polluted waters, the smog of the cities that comes from industry. To believe this has not impacted our environment is foolish in the highest degree. Ten years ago 25% of all deaths in China were related to lung disease from the polluted environment. Even if you believe that global warming is not tied to this pollution you should consider the health of yourself and others and want a cleaner environment!

Exactly! To ignore the falsified junk science and continue to promote that agenda is beyond unreasonable. And to make a poor attempt to point to pollution and tie it to the changing earth temperatures when in fact we know that the earth has had its ebb and flow through out its history is to walk with blinders on.

So you believe that even though we have destroyed much of the landscape of the earth and we fill the skies with industrial and transportation pollution that this has had no impact on either our environment or the temperatures around the earth. To believe that means you are extremely blind, or that you simply do not want to face up to what we have done.

I suppose you are part of the 'me generation' and it certainly shows. Don't confuse me with the truth as I do not want my comfort changed. The cost does not matter, just let me live with my rose colored glasses in my rose colored world

What is unreasonable is to think that we peddly little ants have had any effect whatsoever on the on the warming of the earth, when all the science points to the hundreds of billions of tons ball of energy hanging in the sky. Your position is quite ridiculous...

Jeremiah 2:7 I brought you into a bountiful country,
To eat its fruit and its goodness.
But when you entered, you defiled My land
And made My heritage an abomination.

Being a steward of our environment is SO much more than the controversial issue of whether our actions are a contributing factor to "global warming" or not. Pollutants into our atmosphere cause "acid rain", with consequences. Pollutants into our rivers and streams choke the life out of life in them. Piling up our garbage, or paying someone else to take it to "their yard". I am sure the list can go on and on. Yes, we should use our God granted gift of intellect and rational thought to do all that we can to mitigate whatever effect we have on the environment, tending to the environment is part of the concept of stewardship.

My Bible says you are either for God or against him. I won't join hands with people who deny creation, (or tell me nothing is wrong with women preachers, no such thing as the ark, the tongues weren't really confused at the Tower of Babel...etc...), in an effort to save something God promises to destroy. Seems the only time a liberal believes scripture is when it makes someone else look bad. Being a good steward does not mean ignoring scripture. And you can be a better steward thru prayer than commie websites & bleeding heart foolishness.

Look at the destruction we 'petty ants' have done and it is not hard to realize that we 'petty ants' have also affected the quality of our air and the cause of global warming. It is not unreasonable at all. It is unreasonable to believe we could have changed so much of the landscape and also to believe that we have had no effect on the warming temperatures.

Wow, I must have missed all this. I did not see all of these creation deniers, ark deniers, tower of babel deniers. I also missed all these bleeding heart commies too. I obviously missed most of this thread.

No. Just the O/P. Ask him. Then ask how many "scientists" at the Berkely Earth Surface Temperature Group are interested in the Bible at all.

Did anyone see this in the O/P ?

It is extremely difficult to measure weather consistently over decades and centuries, but the presence of sites reporting cooling is a symptom of the local variations that can creep in, according to researchers.

I don't trust them. Go ahead, if you want to, but know you are siding with people who have told me there is more than one lie in scripture.

    Curtis,

I see and view the intent of the OP to be more "general" in nature, that being that yes, it is quite possible even probable that human activity does have impact on the environment. No, I am NO FAN of Berkley types. I do not, at this time accept the doom and gloom scenario reported in much of the "global warming" research and literature, but I certainly think it reasonable to operate under the assumption that our activities (fossil fuels, pollution etc) very likely has a "not so good" impact on our environment. "I" think your "frustration" is warranted toward those who may seek to elevate the environmental concerns to level of a pseudo diety, but I don't read that by the comments of BB members here.

    Then perhaps you cannot read.

God told mankind to be the caretaker of the earth, not the destroyer.

...What blindness! God never told us to destroy the earth we are to take care of.

...I find it tragic how some who call themselves conservative hate people so much they are willing to destroy the invironment for their own comfort.

Like many connies, Curtis has a truth allergy.

Damn the earth= Damn many people in industrial areas to die of respiratory diseases because of air pollution.

Damn the earth= Damn people to starvation when the crops won't grow.

Damn the earth= Damn people to unclean drinking water and unsafe food.

No, it's there for all to see.

I don't blame you. It's hard being a libbie. Bush ain't in jail. (You did call him a murderer)

    Cheney is still free.

And yer about to watch this country go republican all the way down to dog catcher. Even with you & the rest of the libbies flingin' Christ's name around like a frisbee.

    It can't be fun.

And if you aren't those banned members, then I'll give up my membership here. That should be enough incentive, I think.
