RTD picked up his "let's pretend that didn't happen" from George Lucas. :BangHead:

TENNANT MOVES ON FOR ELEVENNANT
Nuts....just when I was starting to like him....Oh well, wonder if we can get Eccleston back? ;) -

Story here too. Who would you like to see play...er...Who next?
-
It won't happen (unless someone has a "from a certain point of view" moment) but when I saw Simm's Master I day-dreamed about him being 10 instead of DT....
hmmm...I wonder if we could convince them to go for a Hartnell-esque 11...
You have your eye on anyone Matt? -

Simm would be good IMO - and it would make a good plot twist to have the Doctor regenerate into the Master somehow
-
In the context of the show, when 5 regenerated, he came out of it looking like Commander Maxil. Perhaps when his life flashed before his eyes in terms of companions and enemies, he became focused on getting shot and who did that and presto, he looks like Maxil. So, the precedent is there to regenerate into someone he's seen before, though I have serious doubts that he would come out of it looking like the Master.
If this were to happen, there's no question that John Simm would be fantastic.
It's a brave new world of Doctor Who we're going to be entering into in 2010. Considering his previous brilliant stories, I think the Mighty Moff is going to bring us lots of Doctor Who goodness. -

Oh, I don't know; Hartnell looked a lot older than he was. Don't forget, he was only 55 when he started playing the Doctor, which is only a year older than Pertwee was when he stopped.

I just order the 1st season of the New Dr. Who. Looking foreward to it. I'll even have some tea while I watch (PG tips). Amazon had a good price for it. How is this Dr. Who compared to the others? I forget the Actors Name but the first DR. Who I ever watched had a big scarf and long curly hair. I ended up in Kenya and missed it. I checked out Dr who for 1 episode while in the UK and found out the Doctor was now a woman and I didn't like it.

Possibly a reference to the first story of David Tennant's first season, New Earth, where Cassandra 'possesses' his body briefly.

I started watching the first season of Dr. Who the new series. I think I can get into this version. Really enjoyed what I've seen so far.
-
What story are you up to so far?

There are so many great lines in the first series, but I think my absolute favorite part of the entire season is near the end of Bad Wolf.
Dalek: I will talk to the Doctor.
Doctor: Oh, will you? That's nice. Hello!
Dalek: The Dalek Stratagem nears completion. The Fleet is almost ready. You will not intervene.
Doctor: And why won't I?
Dalek: We have your associate.
Doctor: No.
Dalek: Explain yourself.
Doctor: I said no.
Dalek: What is the meaning of this negative?
Doctor: It means no.
Dalek: But we will exterminate her.
Doctor: No. Because this is what I'm gonna do: I'm gonna rescue her. I'm going to save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek Fleet, and then I'm going to save the Earth, and then just to finish off, I'm going wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!
Dalek: But you have no weapons, no defenses, no plans.
Doctor: Yeah. And doesn't that just scare you to death? Rose?
Rose: Yes, Doctor?
Doctor: I'm coming to get you.
Then he hangs up on them and they freak out. Love it. Fantastic scene. -

Yes it was. And the only thing he actually does is save Rose. Rose does the rest. However, I had to laugh at the scene just after that statement where the TARDIS spins towards the Dalek fleet.

How is Tennant in comparison. Before I buy the DVD set.
-
You may find it hard to believe at this point, but David Tennant's even better than Eccleston was.

You'll thank me later. :)
Is it just Season 2 in the box set you're going to buy, or is it Seasons 3 and/or 4 also?
