From the article:
"But Mr Sharon's hopes of mollifying hard-right opponents of Gaza disengagement within Likud could be improved by striking figures published yesterday showing he has presided over another spurt of growth in the West Bank settlements.
While about 9,000 settlers were evacuated from the Gaza area, the Interior Ministry confirmed yesterday that rapid population growth in the settlements continues unabated with 12,800 new settlers arriving there during the previous year to June 2005, bringing the total to 246,000.
The figures will reinforce Palestinian fears that Mr Sharon's strategy has been to disengage from Gaza as a means of consolidating Israel's hold on the West Bank."
Makes me wonder what you and Bibi have against the Israeli government's policy, LE.
By the way, will you be sending a monetary contribution to Bibi's campaign? -
Maybe.

According to Scripture, the present 'peace' ain't gonna last. When the Palestinians(Philistines) give the Jews an excuse, they'll become history.

Bottom Line:
1. If terrorism continues to rampant from the Palestinians, and Sharon is shown to have repeated the same mistakes as was made at Oslo, the Bibi will win.
2. If the opposite happens, Sharon will win.
We shall see what happens.

2. Israel supports the Gaza pullout, not the hard right who are wanting to squabble over land.
3. Circumstances within the next few months could change this polling data if Palestinian extremist terrorism continues. If not, then Sharon will win, Israel will win, and the Palestinian people will win as well. Stay tuned. Let's see what happens.

Well, the outcome is pretty certain, then, because Palestinian terrorism will continue. As it has continued SINCE the Gaza pullout. See the other thread.
-
Isolated incidents may continue. Let's hope and pray that it does not become widespread and sidetrack the peace process as it has before.

Now that, hillclimber, I can agree with.
