North Korea has announced that they will dismantle Nuclear Test Site this month, ahead of the big Summit Meeting on June 12th. Thank you, a very smart and gracious gesture!

Peace President Trump: North Korea Announced They Will Dismantle Nuclear Test Site This Month

WINNING? NORTH KOREA INVITES INTERNATIONAL MEDIA TO WATCH NUCLEAR TEST SITE SHUTDOWN…

Schumer nitpicked the hostage release. Wonder what he'll say about this.

Yeah, better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. I'm trying to keep expectations realistic and not get too jazzed too early. Hard though. Some seriously good things seem to be happening.

I DON'T have my hopes too high for this summit.

Many of us were rightly skeptical of Kim. We've seen the pattern before and it looks like he is following through with his games. I suspect he wants some huge concessions from the Trump Administration (beyond just what was publicly stated regarding military exercises). I hope Trump holds firm and does not try to save face by doing something colossally stupid. I don't think Trump will do that, but I am a little nervous about it since he is quite concerned with appearances and his base has been prematurely chanting "Nobel."

If the summit fails to happen or they cannot reach an agreement, we will know it is not the President's fault. Many before him have tried to work with Kim and have also been frustrated.

I just thank God it's Trump doing the negotiation and not our past presidents. He's a man that actually doesn't care about appearances and could not care less about the phony NPP. He's perhaps the only president we've had in nearly 30 years that's not afraid to walk away from a bad deal.

Have you seen the latest videos?

The N. Korean soldiers are walking skeletons while the commander-in-chief needs obesity intervention.

There seems to be a bit of ecstasy on the left, right now, thinking NK is going to pull out. But I have a feeling that's not the case. KJU would not have come to the table if he could sustain his country. My guess is he's gotten some criticism from within or from China saying he needs to step up is demands and negotiate better.

It's more of a mock, though. He says he'd never say he deserves it, and frankly, it's lost is significance. It's been politicized.

Actually I've thought all along that everyone should just SHUT UP about Trump's supposed success with the North Koreans. It's waaaaay too soon to be celebrating a success. All this boastful talk about how Trump has brought North Korea to their knees, you think the North Koreans are going to be amicable to that? No. In no way does it help get to the goal of them giving up their nuclear weapons, which I've questioned their sincerity with from the beginning.

I do not trust the North Koreans.

[add]

Did you see this?:

North Korea’s nuclear test site has collapsed ... and that may be why Kim Jong-un suspended tests

They may well be bargaining with a chip that IN REALITY is no chip at all. They CAN'T use this test site now.

No doubt Trump knows this though....

The enthusiasm of Trump's base is actually weakening his position severely. The President is not a miracle-worker and no one should expect him to be. Kim has to maintain his tough guy persona to his own people and cannot afford to lose face with them considering how brutally he has reigned.

North Korea desperately needs things, including food for their people, so we can't afford to chip away at the President's bargaining power. He doesn't actually have much to begin with.
