Obama tweeted that "The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity." Obama then went on to misdefine the meaning of Easter by adding "On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka."
Diamond and Silk correct Obama:
"No Obama! They're called Christians not Easter Worshippers!"
Obama denigrates Christians again

Obama never misses an opportunity to misrepresent Christianity and/or Christians.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton tip anti-Christian ‘Easter worshippers’ hats
Obama, Clinton tip anti-Christian 'Easter worshippers' hats
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton avoided using the word “Christians” while commenting on Twitter about the horrific attacks on — yes, let’s call it what it is, please — Christians on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka that left hundreds dead and injured.
Instead, the ex-prez and former secretary of state called the victims “Easter worshippers.”
That’s not just strange and unnatural. It’s a political calculation.
Calling them “Easter worshippers” is a political ploy designed to tamp down realities of radical Islamic terror targeting of Christians and Christianity.
But this is what those of the far left do. This is how Muslim apologists roll. -

While I'm no fan of Obama, there's nothing wrong with what he wrote. It is common knowledge that Easter (or "Resurrection Day" as some insist) is the highest Christian holiday. A basic knowledge of English allows the reader to understand that "Easter worshippers" is simply designating the day of worship, such as "Sunday worshippers" or any other day of the week. Obama is clearly pointing out that Christians who were worshipping were attacked on their highest holiday.
Obama followed up with a contrast between the hatred and malevolence of the attackers and some of the themes of Easter, which do indeed include "love, redemption, and renewal."
It's obvious to everyone who is not trying to press an agenda. -

Yeah, this is really no big deal, what you'd expect from Obama. "Easter worshipers" sounds as if he went out of his way not to simply say "Christians" and be done with it.
"Sun worshipers" were ancient Druids, so here Obama sounds a bit disrespectful. At least he didn't try to paraphrase the Bible, or refer to the "holy prophet Mohammed", can't help but getting an undercurrent of hostility to Christianity when he talks like that. -
"Easter Worshiper"?!? That's a bit awkward...
Never been called that before or heard anyone else called that for that matter.
I mean, I don't even think of it as worshiping Easter but rather celebrating Easter as a Christian, Christians celebrating on Easter, in fact, I don't worship any days, so it would be just as odd to call me a Sunday Worshiper. I worship Jesus and it would appear to me that someone who thought I was a worshiping a day doesn't really know what it is about... -

That’s twisted. -
I find it humorous and pathetically obvious what is going on .
What's even funnier is to watch people try to cover it up. -

That's telling it like it is. -

What obama and company have done is to minimize who was terrorized (Christians) in order not to further demonize those who committed the terror (muslims). That is not easily offended it is properly offended and the to add insult to injury some liberal shows up on this thread and defends that. Its despicable, outrageous, and an insult to those who were killed by evil. The defense of what obama and company did cannot be defended. Such an act is itself evil.

“My heart breaks for New Zealand & the global Muslim community. We must continue to fight the perpetuation and normalization of Islamophobia and racism in all its forms. White supremacist terrorists must be condemned by leaders everywhere. Their murderous hatred must be stopped.”
All she had to do was make a few edits and the result would have been laudable:

Should we hold our breath while we await the correction? -
Easter worshipers could be another way of putting a label on "Christians".
OK I'll even go further and say that its possible that President Obama chose his words in an attempt to deflate the situation by not using the offensive nomenclature "Christians" because it contains one of the titles of Jesus Christ.
HOWEVER: We are not ashamed...
Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. -
